The featured blogs on the side also were talking about this if you did not see any of the posts. A good place to look for any event is in the event section of this website.

Why am I not surprised that someone here knows them? Amy, that is freaking cool as anything! I sent an email today stating how stoked I was when I heard about them being at Thunder this year and wondering if they were bringing any of their aerial toys.
Charley….can you say ROAD TRIP??!! I still have one bed open in the RV for the weekend. You and the man are more than welcome to it so it would only be time and gas (and drinking money), plus Yankies has an outdoor pole! The rally is Sept 8-11. Taxi into town is $1 a person. Or if you are into tenting you can bring the whole Detroit crew down and set up on our site. It is supposed to be in the 70's and gorgeous all next weekend!

I think Veena has this also in her lessons.

Charley took 2nd in elite, Sara Bella took first, not sure who toook third. I believe Noelle took first in the Masters division.

So if you are inverting with the pole on your right side then you cannot grip with your left leg?
For this I was able to get my positioning better if I start with a chopper and then put my left leg in place. It really is a balancing act. Make sure that the left foot and lower leg are pointing toward the ground. The leg positioning is totally difefrent for outside leg hang than it is for inside.

First off, that video has to be RAELLY old because no one teaches you to "kick up" into an invert any more. I call these inside leg hang and outside leg hang…which are you having problems with? You say right leg two times in the post below.

I will pose a question on FB to see if anyone can remember. I do not think it was here but can't remember if it was on FB or on the old PJ forum.

Waht she said! Once you get more used to this you will find yourself using different parts of your legs. When I ma first teaching how to climb I will end up with bruises on my feet because I am doing things in slo-mode but I grip more between my knees and ankles now when I climb.

VB….I remember seeing a studio that had free standing poles that screwed into the floor. It was kind of a neat set up. They had little plates that fit over the holes when the poles were not up. I think it was over in the UK somewhere but I cannot remember the studio or whose album I saw it in. It was about 2 years ago when I saw this.

I teach a few nights a week and am covered under the owners insurance as a part time employee. I am however seeking my own insurance coverage just beacuse it would make me feel better. I am not certified and have mixed feelings about the certifications that are out there (there are several threads on this issue). Rates in my area are usually anywhere from $20-50 per class (instructor pay). PDC US is going to start offering pole insurance in the next few weeks. This is who I am looking into getting insured through as they have set this up specifically for pole instructors and pole studios.

Ceilings are just drywall attached to the wood supports usually with screws or nails. I personally would use a 2×2 section of at least 1/2 inch plywood or even drywall, attach it to your ceiling where you uintend to put up your pole and voila!
