Looks like this is California Poles.

http://www.californiapoles.com/index.php but it is odd that the "location" is Fort Myers.

This is the same seller that has been on since I bought my first pole and they have had that profile since 2001.  I highly doubt this is a bad seller.  If in doubt you can always call Lil Mynx and see if indeed they are a reseller: Toll Free: 877-700-7467

As far as I know you HAVE to use a twisted grip in order to do this.  It is similar to the twisted somersault video that was posted last week.

There is a lot of information about changing the color of your skin be eating more carotenoids….yep….the stuff that is found in carrots and lots of other veggies.  There really is something to eating your vegetables!

Yeah, melanotan is injectable and is known to cause thickening of the skin and also yellow eyes in some.  If you are prone to freckling you will freckle even worse.  There was Melanotan I and now Melanotan II.  II has been approved by the FDA as a libido enhancer.  It can and will cause erections that last a few days hence another reason a lot of bodybuilders love the stuff.

I would never take this….EVER (and I am a chemist who used to work in biomedical and pharmaceutical research).

Do a google search on melanotan.  Remember Snooki?  That orange oompa loompa from Jersey Shore….THAT is melanotan!  I would also possibly ask the other lilbit on this forum as she has expecience in the bodybuilding world where this is used quite often.

Look into getting airbrushed by someone.

Are the poles set up so all you have to do is come in and teach?  This is what kills me the most, on top of working a regular 40 hour job.  If your body is not used to this I would think that many hours would burn you out rather quickly.  Since I started teaching I have had no time or even desire to work on my own pole progression which totally sucks.

December 30, 2011 at 12:57 pm in reply to: Why is Studio Veena Bias towards X-Pole?

There have been a lot of discussions about the materials of poles and some downright inaccuracies.  There was just a thread started a few days ago regarding which pole to buy.  There were lots of people who chimed in.  Plain truth is that the company with the best customer service is ALWAYS going to gain more customers.  Up until Eria came on board Platinum Stages had the worst..and I mean WORST customer service.  And this was for YEARS (4 at least if not longer than that).  They have put out some pretty dangerous poles….moreso than some possible nickel allergies or *supposed* lead issues (plain old biology and chemistry prove that incorrect).  It finally looks as though PS has taken note and is trying to improve not only their quality control but also their image.  The thread you are speaking of got closed for other reasons.  If Erica wanted to clear the air, she very well could have by starting another thread instead of blatantly ignoring a request by the owner of this board.  This is just plain rude and disrespectful.

This board has always been a sounding board for us to speak but it should always be done respectfully.  The things I have said about Platinum Stages have been my OWN personal experiences.  I have not tried to spread rumors on half truths and speculation or fear mongering as many others have.  Typically I will rebut conversations with chemically/scientifcally sound proof.

I have an Xpole now, I had a LilMynx and I have worked on PS poles.  I have had quite a few problems with my stages as they really are not designed for the rigors of a classroom.  I will openly tell people about those problems *if they ask* but I am not going to come on this or any board and blast XPole just to blast XPole.  I can honestly say that each and every time I have talked to Kimara I KNOW that my issues have been taken back to their engineering department and usually within 6 months changes have been made to remedy a wide spread problem.  PS never did this (this may have changed)  For over 3 years they have had issues with the threads of their multipiece poles.  THREE YEARS.  My girlfriend just ordered one over the summer and she had to get another piece because the threads were bad.  It is things like this, things like them emailing people on FB asking them to call to discuss issues and then NEVER making good on their promises, their horrible horrible horrible customer service up to Erica coming on board that have given them a black mark among polers.  It is not a bias that was generated by Veena or Webmaster, it is a bias the Platinum Stages created themselves.  You cannot remove 4 years of "bad" with 6 months of "good".

The flash cards are exactly the same as the moves in their dictionary and you can download that for free!

    🙁

I think I am going to block all talk about this.  Between our 10 year anniversary earlier that month and my mom's 80th birthday travelling to Chicago is just not an option.

The pole cover can be something as simple as the weather.  The cover and the pole itself are probably different materials and definitely different thicknesses which means they are going to react differently to atmospheric conditions.  Mine has always been a tight fit and I don't have a problem with that.  I want that puppy staying put.

Not to discredit you but I will say that new polers are probably harder on their poles than experienced polers.

This is fairly recent and they have not updated their site regarding it.

Which reminds me…I need to call her myself!
