Sorry….mis read what you had written (I thought you meant the only difference between side V and cradle was that your arm position changed).
My bad….https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

And yeah….Gemini –> Iron X….in pretty much all our dreams!

Not true Veena…look at your leg positioning. Side V one leg is on front and the other behind. The cradle is what you call the thigh rest

Side V is one leg in front of the pole and one leg behind so I still do not know how you would get from cradle to side V easily. (I can't see any vids while I am at work so if you showed something in your posts that showed this I appologize).

LillyBilly, I think most of us know that as side V. I could not figure how you got into cradle either!
Cradle to me is this:

Bio Oil is listed as non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging) so I am not sure how it woukld not let your skin breathe.

I would reach out to PDC and Vertical Dance and see what you come up with there.

Are you trying this with straight legs or tucking and then v-ing your legs? I was not able to do a straight leg chopper until about a year ago and I ahve been at this for 4.5 years. If you are feeling winded then something is not right and you should not pursue this until you find out exactly what it is. You can end up hurting yourself.
And videos ALWAYS help!

How long have you been at this? I am not sure what other types of moves you are trying to do but even a fireman spin is NOT a beginner move. It takes time to build grip and arm strength. I had girls in classes for a few months before they could get a full spin out of a fireman without dropping to the ground. There are so many other moves that can be done on the pole, try not to concentrate so much on the tricks. Do you have any idea how many variations of a fireman there are out there? Try playing with those. Work on your body rolls, pole slides, pole holds, floorwork, getting out of fireman in the sexiest way possible. We all do not touch a pole and instantly know what to do or even have the strength to do it. Pole takes patience. I have been at this for 4.5 years and there is still so much I cannot do.

If you look through the forum here you will see that this is NOT the first time these issues have been brought up. There has been great debate after quite a few of the large competitions and things that have happened.

These conversations have been going on for several years and some people are listening and some are not. I don't think any of us are trying to downplay any of the competitors, that is not what this conversation is about. This conversation is about finding a set of standards and as a community holding competiitions to those standards. PDC has done just that and I am not sure why organizations that clearly are pushing for Olympic approval are not abiding by a set standard. I cannot seem to find the information I am about to reference, but I believed that for admission of a sport that there needed to be a set standard by which the sport was judged and that standard needed to be recognized by a set number of countries. Empy, I know you are well versed in this subject. Please correct me if I am wrong.
