And BTW, It looks like this photo was originally of an embrace and they inverted the photo.  Her skirt is too clung to her thigh and also she has a piece of hair that is standing straight up.

Check craigslist and also look for companies that deal in selling off closed store displays.  I have seen dressing room mirrors from time to time on craigslist.  Another option is to go to one of the Habitat for Humanity Restores.  Last option is sliding mirrored closet doors which can be had for about $100.

To me it looks like you would just go into an inverted crufix, squeeze the pole in an embrace and then let go with your legs and arch.

XPerts/XSports are the newer generation with the XJoint.

I may be incorrect in that.  I just looked again and you probably will be able to see a bit of it but it really will not be that noticeable.  You can also probably paint over the section that shows with nail polish (as long as you do not get it on the bearing).

Are you talking about the one that looks like an inverted embrace?

Just a clarification, it is chrome, not stainless, and it is an original XPole, not an XPert.

Hate to see you give in so soon.  If your elbow hurts I would be more concerned with you rehabbing it and then making sure you are using proper form when executing the moves.

7'4" is very short for poling however I would not even consider a stage pole for home use.  They are great for performances however there is so much floorwork type stuff that you simply cannot do with them.

As for the stability of the pole with teh dome…you really do not have to worry about this.  Check your pole before each use with a good tug near the top.

The perm mount really is not visible once it is installed so the color really does not matter.

I don't want to sound rude but there have been so many discussions regarding this.  Basically it comes down to…there will be a point in time where you don't care what others think.  People are going to be ignorant and rude and condescending.  You don't have to justify your love of a sport to someone who is close minded….it is their issue not yours.

As it has been stated before, people really need to research the competitions they are entering.  Since USPDF was the first big one out there everyone flocks to it, but there are so many comps happening now.  I just had a local girl compete in an exotic dance competition that now has a pole segment.  Pole Champ has been running legit competitions that is also aimed more at exotic dancers….do either of these comps hold any less value then say USPDF or APFC?  I know that ME worked with PDC to set the guidelines for her comp and many in the UK are doing the same.  Transparency is essential.  Got that stripper style?  APFC is probably not the comp you want to enter as they state they are looking more for the athletic style.  Don't have that stripper style?  Pole Champ is probably NOT what you want to enter.

We as a society have gotten so used to the easy button….we want fame and we don't want to have to research.

I know that post seems odd….it is a cut and paste from an old post.  ACE or Tru Valu hardware will probably have the metric set screw, Lowes and Home Depot will not.  You will need the grabbit tool to get the locking screw out.

Stripped X locking set screw.  This is the set screw that keeps the pole locked into the stage.  I am not really sure how you strip stainless but we manageed to do it….twice.  I have an idea on how this happened and it comes down to being in a rush to set up/take down poles and not having the hex key in all the way.  M8x8 is the set screw that you need to replace them.  The ones that XPoles uses have an oval bottom….I have been unsuccessful in finding those (and those that know me and my searching capabilities, seriously, these things are next to impossible to find).  The standard cone bottom will work just fine. Lowes and Home Depot do not carry metric set screws.  I ended up at a little ACE Hardware store.  Also, The Grabit Broken Bolt and Screw Extractor, size 2 is what you will want/need to get this screw out.  I tried a few different styles and this one by far is the best in this situation.  I got mine at Lowes for about $8.

Friday night….was fine when I started driving home then about halfway there I could not focus.   Told my husband I was not okay to drive and we did a chinese fire drill at a red light.  I ended up sleeping in the car until I got too cold to stay out there any more.  Was dizzy most of yesterday.  Strawberry milk for breakfast and did a 5 hour because I had to go to my mom's bday party.  All of my family was drinking bloody marys as they also were out the nite before and decided that it was a good idea to do shots of tequila.  After a few drinks, some food and a nap I was feeling better.  We had a campfire at my sister's cabin with the family and killed off 7 bottles of wine.  I have found typically that day 2 takes me much more to get buzzed if I even can.  Not feeling too bad today, just tired.

Lyme saw pictures of a campig trip 2 weeks ago.  THAT was a messed up night and a BAD next day hangover.  I usually need LOTS of sugar and fluids to recoupe.  I love fruit punch and   can kill off an entire 2 quarts of Kool Aid in a day.  Next favorite is mountain dew.  Sweet tea works in a pinch too.  I can definitely say that hair of the dog helps wonders.  2 weeks ago it was strawberry milk, one of the pear freezer wines (split with my husband), sweet tea with lemonade vodka, and a frozen snickers bar before I felt human again.
