I have from getting out of both the wrist seat and then the other version of that where both hands are above. I cannot do the bum slide but I do know that the trick to all of them is to be off a little to the side. Oh, yeah, I have ended up with yeast infections (a little TMI I know) both times (yeah, I bruised myself THAT bad).

Small world indeed! I know the owner of Jasmine Dragons, Matt (as a matter of fact, he may be going to CBus this weekend also). I have been out to play at his studio only once as many of his classes are geared more towards the younger crowd and are earlier in the day. He is supposed to start teaching at a place in downtown Cleveland but I am not sure when that is going to be starting.

I sent Nymph a text message. She has been very busy lately plus she works nites.
Who in Cleveland is doing hoops? Is she teaching anywhere? I know Cleveland Exotic I think has hoop classes and I am also on Cleveland Flow Collective's FB page. I would love to learn (in my spare time…HA). Whenever you are up just let me know! I can usually open up my schedule to meet a fellow poler!

YOU NEED TO LOOK UP MARIA!!! She is Nymphdancer here on the forum and she is also in Louisville. She will be ecstatic to find another poler in the area. She had taken some silks classes in town recently but I believe that the person was only in town for a short bit.
Also, as a side note, do you realize that Karol is going to be teaching workshops in Columbus this weekend??

I hurt myself horribly on split grip doing it before I was strong enough to. Seriously, if you cannot do a one handed spin or support yourself with only one hand on the pole you SHOULD NOT BE TRYING THIS. You really should not be bearing any weight on that bottom hand…it should just be there to complete the bracket and push your body away from the pole. To get used to this, try just placing your hand on the pole with fingers pointing up, not even gripping with that bottom hand.
I boiught a powerball on Empy's suggestion a few years back and it has helped my forearm strength immensely.

So,you should not go.” Umm, wtf?If I remember correctly that competition not only has abilities on the pole as part of your scoring but they also place points on you from the moment you step onto the property and also what you have done in your career for the pole community. There was a discussion on here a while back regarding their scoring.
Is this the competition where Jenyne fell not once but twice during her routine? There was a LOT of controversy about the rigging and the stage lights/heat, improper cleaning of poles, etc etc etc after this competition. This is probably where a lot of the nasty comments are coming from. I also cannot remember if this is the one that you get into that is sort of a popularity contest…..they have online voting and the top vote getters are the ones who compete.

I just bought a pair today. Had a REALLY hard time deciding because they had so many of the cute ones at the store. Decided against the ones that had studs and rhinestones as I did not know if they would scratch the pole. Ended up with black and silver ones. Can't find them anywhere online to show them.

Brass is definitely grippier than the TGbut the TG does not leave your hands smelling like metal.

Hanes used to make a ladies style that was almost identical to these but I have not been able to find them any more. The newer boy short styles they have are definitely more cheeky.

I know that the original S Factor shorts people used to love but I am not sure about the newer ones. I will say that the Kmart ones don't necessarily ride up in the back but I have had them move to the side a bit in the crotch area. I am also a size 8-10 and am wearing the large.
You may also want to investigate mens trunk underwear. Typically the trunk style does not have the "access port" and they are designed to cover a little more leg.

Google them. There are paws and also undies. They are lyrical half shoes, typically with a suede section on the ball of the foot.

It should be an imbedded image.

The link works fine…..the second part of that was an image. I pasted the address into the image properties box, clicked on the circular arrow to preview the post and it all looks good. As soon as I save thread the image does not show up in the post but rather as
Webbie looked at this about a week or so ago and I think was having the same issues. Can't remember the thread right now.

I HATE HATE HATE ruts!! The longest one I was in was about 5 months….I would still jump on a pole at the playground but I had not touched mine at home in ages. I find that when I do walk away from it I come back stronger than I ever was. Maybe it is my brian processing the moves I cannot get to a point where my body listens. All it takes for me is that one blissful song that I just dance to…screw the tricks, screw taping, screw EVERYTHING. It is the lights down low, music up high and just working my body around the pole.
Do not take down the vids. Go to Redke71 on youtube and take a look at her stuff from 3-4 years ago. Granted, she was still awesome back then but if a champio like Karol keeps her stuff up, you really should do the same. It gives you a video log of just how far you really have come!
