Standard that is probably on every website FAQ's is no lotion and no jewelry.

I don't know if I would write rules for an entire studio but I will for sure make sure that my students know what I do and do not expect from them.  Some things that may irritate the piss out of me may be tolerable to another instructor.

IMO we charge too little for our classes.  Most of the other studios charge $15-20 per class in this area but I have seen as low as $7 on special.

    A Sensual You

    Platinum

    Pole by Patricia

    Awakenings

BACE, what brand of fish oil were you taking?  This really matters when it comes to burps for the most part.  Me on the other hand can take the best one out there and still end up with burps.   Sesamin and coconut oil are also other oils that can help you lose weight.

I don't know about pole studios but there is a circus school there!  There is a member here names PhillyPoleJess…I think she no longer is in Philly but she was there.  She may be a good person to contact!

Usually the bottle will say something like this:

Even though there is 1000 mg in each tablet, only 740-820 mg is actually CLA.  On yours I assume that they are 1000 mg tablets.  On the high side of the CLA content you would have to take at least 4 tablets a day (3.3g), on the low you would take 5 a day (3.7 g).

They are called pole kisses and tehre is a facebook site dedicated to them!

Welcome to pole.  The pole sit is typically the first "ouch" move that I teach and I forewarn that it will hurt.  But that does go away.  After close to 4 years on the pole I really do not bruise much any more even when I am working on new stuff.  It is not only your skin toughening but also learning control over all parts of your body to get a grip on the pole.  Check out Swanson Vitamins for arnica gel…they have the best price around that I ahve found (plus they always run coupons).

There are so many names for each and every move it is difficult to keep them straight.  I believe that S Factor calls the jack knife a SM dismount.  I also know people who call the SM stall where you are horizontal to the floor with one leg straight and one bent a jack knife.  Michelle Mynx has a whole different set of names.  I know the inverted crucifix by about 4 different names.  Just because one person calls it something different does not make it "wrong".

With CLA you need to make sure that you are taking enough.  The studies that showed fat loss were based on 3.4 grams of CLA a day.  Most pills are 1000 mg (1g) of product but only a percentage of actual CLA.  Typically 4-5 pills is what is needed to get the right amount.

I will add that I have NEVER attended a workshop with only one person per pole and this is not the norm.  So many studios are small and only have a few poles.  If you expect someone to fly into town and only be able to each a few people per workshop how do you think they could afford to do that?  Yes, they are responsible for their own airfare and accomodations (very few studios pay for the latter).

And part of the reason I do not go to concerts any more…..

Saw a Cirque show right after my wedding and got tix for my maid of honor.  It was a tent show so all of the seats were rather close but even back then (9 years ago) tix were $50 a pop.  I would love love love to see this show I just cannot justify close to $300 for 2 tickets.

With the older students since they are used to one per pole this is probably the reasoning for the unhappiness.  I have also had situations where one person was a pole hog and the other got left out.  You HAVE to make sure there is equal pole time.

Also, CalBear, what S studio was set up this way?  I have obnly been to Houston and each studio (I think they had 3) had between 6 and 8 poles.  I know girls that go to other studios and never heard this.

I am very tempted to see it too Nymph until I saw ticket prices.  OUCH!!!  Cheap seats are $50, then they go to $80, $125 and $175.  Basically if you want to be anywhere near the stage you are looking at $125 or $175……I just cannot justify that!

Invest in some foot undeez or toekinis or the like.  It does not matter what type of flooring you are on, if you get a little sweaty or dirty then both of the above are difficult.

I am not sure if the new SSA is different than the old but I do know someone who "walked" the old style across the floor and I also have had one move on me on a garage floor while doing a reverse grab.  ALSO, the old SSA 45 mm pole was never stable over the original size, even though they sold the extensiona to a lot of people.  There is an e-mail floating around this foum stating just that.  Again, this was the old style SSA.  Not sure if they have made design changes with the new.  BTW, I am about 150 lbs and 5'8", not sure if height and weigh play an issue here.

With idiots like that it is better just to ignore them.  HOWEVER if they step into my pole space I reserve the right to "accidentally" kick them.

Miraine…that was already shown prior to this new change.  It was just in with the rest of the stuff, so you saw that so and so commented and then you would get a status update and then maybe a game thingy then so and so are now friends.  All it did was separate that little background "noise" from the actual news feed and put it as a ticker on a side screen.
