When I had posted this on a facebook group that was one thing I had mentioned, you really cannot transition into an extended butterfly fom it becaseu you are totally facing the pole. But I wonder if it is a good move to be able to get your balance for things like split grip inverted moves?

Yes, please post prices as I have been meaning to order the Live Once ones but keep forgetting.

As I followed up, people call it a modified butterfly or butterfly with cross hands. For some reason many moons ago in a forum far far away I thought I saw this listed as another name.

I am. In butterfly you typically have right hand high/right leg on pole or left hand high/left leg on pole. ((HAhaha…ME's photo came up first in my image search))

What I am asking about is right hand high/left leg on pole or left leg high/right leg on pole.

No, if that was aimed at me. The pic that is in the thread was in response to Shannabella asking what move her profile pic was.

She probably means a fitness certificate, not necessarily a pole certificate. In oreder to teach in some areas you have to have a certified competancy of body physiology and also first aid/CPR training.

Here is the pic and comments about the pole: https://www.studioveena.com/photos/view_photo/50ae327f-d214-458e-a97b-22960ac37250
Basically what it comes down to: is your safety worth only $150?

Congratulations!!!!
Even if you consider it "small" it really is not. And there is nothing like the feeling of nailing something for the first time.

I do not own a studio but have several friends that do and from comversations we have had the resounding answer is YES.

I think you are thinking of Tite Grip CapFeb.

I did not know they changed the formula….
Do you know what "level" you ordered? I do know that there are 4 different levels (not sure if there alwasy were). I also know that this stuff seriously dries out over time so there is a good possibility that the old stuff you had started out this "greasy" but then dried out over the last 2 years.

MemberNovember 28, 2012 at 7:13 pm in reply to: Can you put up a Peek A Boo pole on a popcorn ceiling? You should be able to look across your ceiling and tell where there are seams. Those seams are where there should be joists. ALSO, get a small thin and long nail (at least 1.2-2") to use as a trial nail to see if you hit a joist before drilling.
You can also knock on the ceiling with a hammer (lightly) and tell by the tone of the thud if you are at a hollow or solid spot.
Lastly, please be careful with a peek a boo pole. They are not designed to be used for serious pole work.

A "real" bow and arrow (marksman/archer) from what I am told is supposed to be this grip. If you have Veena's lessons it is also here: https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4d46d077-22f0-4c57-87e0-2ff40ac37250
I am going to have to try this grip as I have always only done it with iguana mount arms.
But in answer to my first question, from what I have gathered so far is that it is just a variation of the butterfly.
