If you do indeed get leg or foot cramps while out and about do a shot of tonic water.  Quinine is a natural remedy for leg cramps and works wonders.

For smelly clothes, treat your washing machine, too.  There are all sorts fo hidden places that soaps and lint get trapped and then end up stinking up your laundry.  One of the best things you can do is to let your washing machine dry out after you are done by leaving the lid/door open.

BV is common with many IUDs because it changes your chemistry.  Taking folic acid on a daily basis has kept me free and clear of BV for over a year or more.

I was not sure if boric acid worked for yeast infections, I know it does greatly for BV.  Due to my mirena I would get BV about every 4 months and still now maybe once a year.  I work in a lab so boric acid is very easy to come by.  I just mix up some in warm water and use that as a douche.

Boric acid is not poison.  It is commonly used at vets offices and kennels to sprinkle on the dog beds to keep fleas at bay.  It is also one of the few natural pest deterrants for your garden.  It can also be diluted and used as an eye wash.  The LD50 of it is 5-20 g/kg.  As a reference, table salt has an LD50 of about 4g/kg.  5g/kg is about 315 g for a 140 lb person, or the equivalent af about 2.5 cups.

Reading this last post made me think of something…men can transfer your yeast infection back to you.  I don't believe there are many if any symptoms in men.

I have done yogurt and it was not pretty.

I have done the 1 and 3 day OTC and they never worked.  The only thing that did was the 7 day (actually the 1 day made things worse).

Peroxide douche worked the best at tehc beginning of one, not once it is full blown.

One other thing that has not been mentioned and is a very very very old treatment is gentian violet.  Most pharmacies will carry it or you can order it.  It is still used quite often for thrush, which is a yeast infection of the mouth (and nipples of feeding mothers).  The stuff stains to high hell but is probably one of the safest home remedies out there.

I just signed up for a 7 week session that is starting on June 21.  I found this when I was looking for adult gymnastics classes a few years back and have wanted to try it since.  Finally bit the bullet and signed up.

Ugh…just realized that the second thread was regarding the one where you are not touching the pole with your butt at all.

For this it is easier for me to get into it coming out of a release.  Your hands have to be really close to your cootch and it is more of your tailbone on the pole than side of the cooch like wrist seat.  You really have to have your back rounded.

I have only seen a sale I think once.  Usually you can catch free shipping but if you are anything like the rest of us you want your pole NOW.

I ahve seen the showgirl poles but I did not realize that their bottom was so different than any other X Pole:

This was what made me make my first comment which I then retracted.

You really need to find out WHY you are having resurring infections and change that.  Is it yeast or bacterial vaginosis?  They are the opposite side of the coin…too much yeast/not enough bacteria and you ahve YI, too much bacteria and not enougfh yeast you have BV.  The treatment for one can send you into the other and their sysmptoms are similar.

This sounds like more of a case of shoulder flexibility than anything else.

I may have spoken too soon.  I have never seen that base on the XPole but I guess it is a real base.  Still, this is $20 more than X is selling the pole itself.

There are many threads here on becoming an instructor.  There is a LOT of really good information.

There was another thread regarding what some studios require you to do during an interview but I cannot seem to find that.

I taught on stage poles because we did not have a ceiling that we could mount poles on.  The studios have stage poles mainly for performances, either at events or things like bridal shows.  I know a few that have stages to be able to go to the park with friends and pole outdoors (or camping).

As I have said before, it is not so much the tipping as it is the walking when you do power spins like reverse grabs.  Being tall and 160 lbs I cannot do a single spin on the lighter stage poles without having it walk.  I even walked an older version of the PS stage (the kind with the big wooden box) that did not have sand bags.  I have had the X try to walk but just the sheer weight of the base does not allow it.

The cost to maintain a secondary warehouse is much greater than the demand for such.  Seriously think about the amount of products they actually sell and then figure in warehouse space, personnel costs, insurance, additional inventory, etc.  It is not a smart business move in any way.

Both side by sides are with the newest versions of both poles.

At the risk of starting another heated debate, here is a thread that will show you good, bad and ugly.

The first S Factor studio opened in 2001 in LA.  Fawnia started teaching exotic dancers in 1994 (although I have seen this listed as 1996 in some interviews) but I am not sure if she had a studio or if she travelled to clubs.  She put out her first video in 1998.  My guess would be between these two as to who had the first actual studio.

I believe XPole has a special enforced one that they sell for anything taller than 12 feet.

If you want a time frame when things REALLY changed it was probably the first USPDF competition.  Up until this point competitions were held at strip clubs and was more about being sexy with a few skills than it was about aerial arts,  In an interview I think Alethea even states that watching Jenyne during that competition totally changed her view as to what pole dance was.  Jenyne took first place, Alethea took Miss Sexy and Sarah Cretul took Miss Trickster.  This competition totally changed the face of pole forever.
