Does it have to be the actual theme song to a show or can it be some of the incidental music associated with the show?

Yay, I was starting to freak out a little there. . .

This sounds interesting . . . Would someone maybe be willing to do something like a basic Idiot's Guide for those of us who are intrigued but have never ever heard of this before? All the other posts seem to assume at least some knowledge of this.  Thanks!

I have an old style X-pole that I got a bottom adjusting upgrade for. On this pole there is a metal cover that screws on over the adjuster that covers it and allows you to grab down low. I don’t know what the new style looks like, but maybe there is something like that? You can always e-mail or call X-Pole with any questions as well. They have awesome customer service.

I ordered my silk from that same site. Checkout was easy and it shipped quickly. 110 is a standard width. I got most of my rigging stuff from an outdoors/climbing shop. What you need depends on where you plan to rig.

Most people on this site are probably way beyond this, but could you do something like a basic stage/performance makeup thing? Maybe start with what sort of tools and stuff you need and then go on from there. In case you can’t tell, I really know nothing about this! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif Thanks for offering to help though.

What V said. All pole moves take time. I have been poling for over two years and I have just now gotten a semi-reliable pole sit. I’m also still working on my basic climb. Still can’t go more than a step or two. Leg strength is not the only thing you need. Also remember to engage your abs, especially when climbing. Be patient and persistent, and you will get it!

I didn’t ever think that I could sit either. Yes, it hurts at first and for awhile. Persistence is the key to this move. I just kept at it, even if you can only hold it for a second at first. Finally, I just did it one day. Good luck and be tough! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

When you mean "reduplicate" do you mean like doing your own vid of it? If I just want to practice it in the privacy of my garage, may I?

That sounds like it will be very helpful. That seems to be the main problem that I have: no momentum.

All kinds of naked! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif Yeah, no desire to wear heels. I can’t even manage the regular like office type pumps. I have been thinking about something, maybe, though. The floor that I dance on is very rough cement. I can’t pivot or turn really at all on it. Walking and spinning is just fine though, so I don’t know. Any way, Bare Feet!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

So, update. X-Pole release tools rock!! It took like two seconds to get my adjuster unstuck, which made my pole usable again, and I was then able to get the other pole tubs apart. Happy dance! Now to get back to work. . .

That is one of the most awesome videos I have ever seen. I have it on my YT favorites. The strength and control is unbelievable.

One question though: How does he have any nuts left??

I do my upgraded X-pole all the time. I can’t leave it up, so I take it up and down a lot. It requires a little coordination to hang on to some of the pole sections when screwing it together, but especially if your pole is 8 feet you should be fin by yourself.
