Yeah, I usually start out with some chores (dishes, sweeping, taking out the trash, etc.) to just the blood flowing and to ease into my warm-up.

Yeah, it’s like physics. Once I overcome the inertia, I can keep moving.

Now I feel like a real wimp. It was only 20 F here last night. With the wind chill, it was down in the teens, though.

Yay! Halfway out of the dark.  Beanies are awesome.  Buffs too.  Hoodies are good too.  Sometimes the strings annoy me, but they are usually worth it.  Easy on, easy off.

I had a pretty good workout today. Of course, it was also over 60 degrees F and sunny out today. I’m hoping I’ve figured out a new way to work on my handstands.

It's mostly just the initial motivation to get off the chair.  Layering is good.  It seems like that's half my winter workout: taking off and putting on clothes. I find it hard to stretch enough when it's cold.  Like it's hard to get and stay warm enough to stretch with out hurting something.

American Apparel makes thigh-high atheletic style socks.  Look just like regular cotton socks but go thigh high.  One note, I had some trouble with them fitting in the thigh.  I had larger thighs then, but it seems that smaller might be better.

See, stuff like this is what I point to when my friends fuss at me about not being on Facebook.  You try to share something wonderful with your friends and family and some random shitbag comes along and ruins it.  Life is too short to be dealing with other peoples' issues.

That sounds like a fun challenge, but why limit it to celebrities?  Maybe make it for anyone that you would enjoy dancing for but can't or won't for whatever reason?

I can do what I call ghetto pull-ups where I stand on my toes and pull from there.  Basically, pulling up but not from a dead hang.  I also use my silk, instead of a bar, so I'm grabbing vertically instead of horizontally, kind of like pole-ups.

Also, you say that you've been stretching "intensively".  If you work yourself too hard and don't allow your muscles to rest between sessions, you will actually make them tighter.  Try taking a day off in between sessions and see what happens.

Yeah, my driveway isn't big enough.  I would love to have all 20 feet.

This is what I use.  Admittedly it is not inside my house, but I have about 15 feet to work with. 🙂

I want to second the idea that was already mentioned about going back to the stuff that you can do and working on transitions and combos.  I think of this part as kind of why I put in all the work to learn a move.  Once you have a move down to the point where you no longer have to worry about your hand slipping or which leg you have to hook, then you can start to smooth it out, stylize arms and/or legs, and work on making the transitions into and out of a move smooth.  This is the fun part, where you get to apply all that work you put in!  Sometimes people call this time: Making it look pretty.
