er…safety glasses of some sort would probaby be a more accurate description. They're still in the bag so I haven't really…………I'm just rambling now…..oops!

Ok well maybe instead of going to the doctor I'll go to the drugstore first and look around for things that have been suggested here and see what I find. (I'm too scared of the garlic thing, so I'll save that as a later option!)
Oh and on a lighter note, Chem, when you mentioned you work in a lab it reminded me: my supervisor gave me lab goggles today…they're cheetah print. Hahaha https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

So embarassing — I got PLAIN yogurt yesterday assuming no flavor = no sugars, no worries. It was only after I tried the yogurt thing that I took a second look and saw that the dang yogurt still contained sugar. GAH!
I think I might just go to the doctor and have them tell me exactly what’s going on.. this is driving me nuts.
Do I have to wait until I’m done with my period to see the doctor though?

Sensual, I've been dealing with infections on and off since last fall. I went to the doctor in October I believe and they prescribed fluconazole – a one dose tablet that stays in your body for a while. The infection came back later so I went to the doctor in March and she prescribed two doses (the second one was in case the first dose didn't work). After the first dose I waited a couple weeks and didn't feel any better so I took it again and I have been fine and dandy until just this past weekend.

What exactly would be causing them in the first place?
Just as a reference, I've ruled out my underwear; I always wear cotton undies like my mom taught me 🙂 I'm also pretty sure I can rule out my boyfriend.

Ok…hmm…I'm highly doubtful my boyfriend is infected and he doesn't have a yeast infection of the mouth, so maybe the saliva thing was just me drawing conclusions on a coincidence. I'm trying the yogurt tonight and then if this last effort doesn't fix it I guess I'll go talk to my doctor about BV or a UTI and/or see if my pH is off balance down there.
I'm just a little bummed that I have to keep dealing with this because my body is stubborn and this won't go away lol

I had a bladder infection last fall, and I don’t have any burning when urinatinf or anything, so I don’t think it’s another bladder infection.
Last time I got a yeast infection my doctor prescribed fluconazole so I took that and I was fine…until this past Saturday.
Awkward question, but I figure we’re mostly all girls here, so does anyone know if it’s possible for saliva to cause yeast infections? I remember reading about it online and if that’s the case I’m almost certain that’s the cause… -

Doesn’t hurt though!

Wow there has been so much response to this topic, and a lot of good advice! 🙂
I know I'm not supposed to change the jewelry when it's not healed yet, but I did change my jewelry to a small quartz retainer while I had to be around/in an MRI for a research study. I have since left in in and noticed that catching on things, bumping it, or getting tugged has decreased dramatically. So I just decided to leave it in and let it heal with the retainer for a while. That plus warm salt soaks with a shot glass is making it already look better a few days later! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
The good news is, while it was crusty and bleeding (thanks to Runemist I will no longer be moving it around to see how it's doing…oops https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif), my belly button never got swollen, red, hot, or painful to touch, and so far it doesn't look like it's migrating or rejecting (but now I'm a little paranoid though! haha)

My micro base wiggles when the pole is not set up, but it doesn't affect the pole at all once it is standing with proper tension.

I probably wouldn't worry about it though, because we were naturally so overly-critical of our own bodies; your shoulders are probably not nearly as "big" as you think they are! As far as I've seen, many (if not most) of the polers here are not "buff," just toned/fit!

Alright I've been curious for a while since I've never actually been in chat before… is it a group video chat or do we type? I feel like one day I'm going to actually join a Friday Chat and be like "Whoops I'm on camera…in my undies."
Although we basically pole in our undies so it probably wouldn't be that weird… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

It can't hurt, and at least you'll get to hear what they have to say firsthand; less chance of miscommunication the fewer channels it goes through, you know?

For me it seems to help to break a song up into pieces. Perhaps start with one part of the song where you think "this move/transition would fit wonderfully here," and then work from there. Kind of like starting with the outline and then filling in the pieces. You might be different, but I never did too much choreography all at once either; that way I could really focus on the section at hand.
