Hello.. I think everyone in life reaches a point of depression in life. Everyone handles things differently. You can always turn it around but sometimes you don’t understand why it’s there or how to turn it around. Exhaustion was one point for me. I was emotionally lonely, living away from close relatives, and working too much. It was not not noticed until I went to the doctor for body pain and insomnia. Wellbutrin helped me sleep and make it through a day without pain but it was still there. I had to find what was missing in my own personal most private part of me. That was simple once I figured it out. Lol I figured out 2 things was missing. I wasn’t tapping into my spiritual me like I used to do and I forgot what made me the person who I was. The fun loving creative positive, get your dance on, workout 3 times a week, weave loving diva that I used to be. Lol. I know it sounds crazy but I realized that I had stopped doing so many things that I used to do. My bath bubble bath with aromatherapy and slow jams mix and other stuff had completely forgotten me. Lol once I got back to finding myself. Things totally changed. I found myself at a strip club by accident one night going to a friends bday thing for a drink and that’s when I discovered pole. Lol Now when I feel like something is not right or when start missing home, I get on the pole. 🙂 Just like I did last night. So you’re not alone. Runemist always keeps me on track and everyone here is very supportive in all areas.

I moved to so I know how hard it is to find a studio or find an affordable studio. You’re definitely in the best spot with Veena. I have learned alot from here. I wish I had found her here first before being in a studio. Veena AND ALL everyone here are amazing and very very supportive in all areas. Enjoy and share 🙂

Awesome 🙂 I’m also learning to invert. Slowly but strengthing myself to get it where it won’t be sloppy. I really want to helicopter but I’m just now getting my feet on the pole. I also realize that it was easier on my left side with the pole on spin. I don’t know how I did it but I did. I’m right handed But I noticed my hand position had to be little lower than I was trying to watch from the video.

Thanks for this post. I was feeling out of place when I signed here. First I felt too old to be poling because most of the older society back home frowns apon it because of the stigma that was placed on alot of things. Second I felt out place because of my body type. Now I never knew anyone else age on here but I feel even better knowing I’m not the only one that felt mismatched. 🙂 At the studio here there is only one person that is older than me and she is so motivating jus like everyone on here. 🙂 Thanks for encouraging me.

Hello.. I missed this thread. I can say that there are alot of good ideas. I do like the fact that it gives you options for lessons pricing. The $10 monthly and $20 monthly are great Awesome prices based on my income. kinda like Netflix.. if the price is small enough i probably won’t miss it. Im in a membership at a studio and regretTed being under a strict contract for a year. I love some of the classes and I was particularl about which instructor was teaching that particular section but for the amount I been paying out does not show on me. you learn whatever they show that day and hope that you learn it before changing to something else. If 80 % of the class learned a move then they go ahead to showing a new move. I bared had time to get to my favorite classes due to work and school. This site I think is awesome because of the Social part I don’t get anywhere here. I’m seriously waiting to pay out my contract so that I can try more on here. Veena is awesome 🙂 I would never feel as comfortable on any other site posting vids of what I learned from watching Veena and you guys also. Everyone has made me more confident in my body as a beginner poler. I like to watch YouTube but this site is better and more secured for actually posting and learning. 🙂

Thanks again everyone. I did good this week without even knowing it. 🙂 I been on the go and had lots of fruits with me. I didn’t know that pears cut with cucumbers in the same bowl actually tasted great. It’s so many foods that I don’t eat but I’m learning to mix what I do like. Starting out is hard but its getting better. I will gradually go back to add small amounts of some meats because I noticed that when I tried to eat some this weekend, I didn’t feel right. I know some of you say to jus gradually do it so I will do that Instead of jus jumping all in at once. Thanks 🙂

Lucca Valentine.. Thanks 🙂 However, I should be a queen at food prep bur it only works 3 days at a time for me. Sounds crazy but I could be good at it one week then all of a sudden I suck at it. I want a roller bag because I have so many books and food to carry. My biggest problem is what do I do when I can’t food prep? That’s when I rely on Fast Food places to have the vegan meals. I use my shakes mainly for breakfast tho. I really appreciate you. 🙂 I’m looking at the sites

Guess What.. I tried the Veggie Burger King today. Yes I know. I finally ate today besides a cup of dry cheerios this morning. Well it was wasn’t what I expected because it wasn’t grilled like the other burgers look. Actually I think that they over cooked it because it was too tough. I did better at home by using the morning star buffalo chicken patties than that burger King veggie burger. Now I know thats not a good place to stop if im in a hurry. I wish they had more places here to have good fast food vegan meals.

Yes yes yes.. it’s muscle fatigue. I’m going through it now this week but I just find other stuff to jus so that I can stay on the pole. My hands are so sore but I understand jus what you are saying :). It will get better but make sure to alternate sides so that you can be even handed.

Today wasn’t too bad. I actually ate more today. I looked at some of the sites you all had given me. Thanks bunches.. 🙂 Now how to get pass the headaches?? Ugh I been a gluten-free fÃen for a few months but not long enough to kill all my cravings with doing vegan along with it.

Thanks Everyone. I am looking at some of the sites that everyone has suggested. I really need to live near Baltimore or anywhere that has the Coaching. I get so discouraged because now Im burned out and dont want to eat. I know that I have to eat but its so much harder living on the border without buddies who are healthier than me. I didnt do good today because I opted for a meal replacement shake instead of a meal because I just didnt know what I wanted to eat. Please keep me motivated 🙂

Please dont feel discouraged. I’m always saying that its my big butt and thighs thats holding me back. Everything takes time. Some people are stronger than others and that’s one reason that they can do some things, but you might be better than others in another area for right now and dont realize it :). I can’t do some basic spins like Hollywood that I used to do 6 months ago but I can do other things that I didnt know how to do like a half pint or teddy bear. Just keep trying and nobody motivates me more than knowing I got Runemist on here, Loveracing25 on Youtube, Veena’s leg work, Jhene Aiko playlist, and my half glass of wine if I feel too sexy and need some sleep 🙂

Runemist.. girl stop making me smile.. Lol.. I definitely don’t want to smash anything on my pole. Lol I get bruises but I never noticed if it was directly like the chart. But I wonder if the bruise balm really works? Not sure what those spins are or if I can do them but Ima look them up and try it out.

Well I know they have a studio or 2 in Phoenix. Also, along I10 west in El Paso, TX. Fit Pole is really nice. 🙂
