I practice being a Christian every day that the Lord graces me to see, and for the life of me I can’t understand some people who profess to be a Christian yet do exactly the opposite of what Christ did while on Earth.
For one, does anyone remember the harlot at the well who gave Christ water? Did He one time beat her over the head with her sins? No He did not. Not only did He not bring up her sins to her, but He also took the water she drew for Him and He drank. Yes, He did tell her what she needed to do to enter the Kingdom, but He never, ever put her down nor her praise. If Jesus, the only perfect man ever to walk this Earth could accept this woman at face value knowing everything about her, but never using it against her, who are any of us to judge anyone or their praise?
Here’s what I’m saying: DO NOT LET A FEW PEOPLE STOP YOU FROM POSTING YOUR PRAISE & DANCE VIDEOS on YouTube or any where else for that matter. God knows your heart and that’s all that matters. If this is how you choose to praise God that is up to you and only you. I can’t believe that your praise dance would stumble anyone who is truly a Christian and practices doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. That goes for also respecting their praise even if you don’t understand it. Heck, it’s not for me to understand your praise as it is not intended for me. It is for GOD to understand your praise.
Jungle Cat, you don’t know who was feeling down and out, but happened upon your video and you stopped them from taking their life or someone else’s life. Or maybe they were about to beat their partner and/or children and your praise stopped them because they couldn’t believe the beauty of your dance. If you take that video down then you give someone else power to stop your praise. The Devil always throws things at us when we praise and someone else is changed to either follow Christ or even listen to His teachings. He knows that if one sees, hears, feels, etc enough they WILL receive the Holy Spirit. So, don’t you dare take it down. You keep on praising and expressing your love for Jesus and His Father the way that is most authentic to you. If you ever feel convicted that this way of praise is wrong then you take it down because that’s what God has put on your heart.

Hi LittleStar!
Welcome to the site. You’re gonna love it here. I’m a newbie as well on the forum, but I feel like I’ve been part of the family for years. It’s wonderful, cozy, and soooo welcoming and supportive.
Enjoy and don’t be afraid to share the good, bad & the ugly!

Foxy…I’m sorry to hear that you were having a bad day! Girlfriend, I know exactly how you feel about having bad practice sessions. It really bums me out because I really love pole dancing, and when I have a bad night I obsess about it even in my sleep.
You’re doing great from what I can tell. I’m still afraid to try to really dance because I don’t feel like I know what I’m doing and I don’t want to look stupid. So, I keep working on trying to do spins, inverts, floor work, and transitions hoping that one day I’m going to be able to put it all together. So, remember…you’re doing great; you’re progressing; you’re doing something you love; and with enough practice, even bad practice sessions, you’re going to blow your hubby’s socks off soon and very soon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif
As for your friend, I agree with Rouge. She probably doesn’t even realize what happened. I’m sure she didn’t mean any harm.
Now on to hubby…men just don’t think sometimes. I’m sure he didn’t even think about what he was doing and was only trying to make his little lady happy.
Hang in there OK. We’re here for you and believe me when I say we want to hear from you when you’re happy, sad, or don’t even know what you’re feeling. We wouldn’t have it any other way! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif

I’m a newbie on this forum, and I have to tell you that of all the forums that I visit, this is the friendliest, most supportive, and caring. I can only guess that the magic is Veena, and I am so very glad that I found Veena and this forum.
I haven’t had a lot of time to get to know Veena, but from what I can gather, she’s a very loyal, caring, hard working, supportive, fun loving, sexy, nurturing, passionate, and strong woman. I’m very impressed that she took her passion and used it to support her family while nurturing the sexy, fit & fabulous woman /person in each person that graces this forum.
I would really be sad if this forum didn’t exist. I don’t have any friends that engage in pole dancing / fitness so evrey person that has befriended me and given me support has become my friend. It means so much to me to be able to log in and chat with everyone.

This is the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen…And here I am complaining about not being able to get the inverted thigh hold, etc.
-
My fingers used to hurt, but after practicing daily for a few weeks they got used to the pole. I was gripping so tightly that I was pulling the joints too much. Also, I make myself do finger exercises before I get on the pole so that they’re stretched just like all my other muscles. Finally, the stronger you get and the more sure you are on your moves you’re more confident of your grip so you don’t grip so tight.
One other thing you can do is get your doctor to write you a Rx for an anti-inflammatory. I had to go to the doctor because I thought I had carpal tunnel. It turns out that I had minor tendonitis. My doc prescribed a 6 day cycle of prednisone and gave me the anti-inflammatory. The pain is gone in the wrist and I my fingers are truly back to normal.
Oh, one more thing: do you sleep with your fingers under your face or something like that where you stop the circulation? If so, that’s also hurting your fingers when you pole. I made myself wear the splint for carpel tunnel for several nights so that I could re-train myself from sleeping on my hands. This has made a world of difference as well.
Hope this helps.

Great!
I’m currently working on the inverted thigh hold and the Gemini so any additional help I can get is gravy! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
