Jess, how in the world did you get so smart? Thanks for posting this. Even at my ‘old’ age I learned quite a bit from this post. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

    Thanks again! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Hun, I know how you feel because I was feeling the same way about a month or so ago. You know what I did: I stayed away from the pole and worked on me: physically and mentally. I started going to the gym to work on my cardio and strength training. Then, I started giving myself pep talks and telling myself all the great things about me. That was MAJOR!

Follow Glitter’s advice and SissyBuns. It is so true. When I find myself comparing I have to remind myself that I’m no spring chicken and that everyone learns things at different times. I also tell myself that what may come naturally to them doesn’t mean they can do what comes naturally for me!

Hope this helps…And LOVE THAT WONDERFUL BODY OF YOURS! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

What a great post! Thank you so much for voicing exactly what I tell my husband and friends when I read the comments on the videos.

Everyone on this forum is so wonderfully supportive and encouraging. I’ve been so close to giving up and because of the comments I’ve stayed the course!

    Thank you again. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Lilbit, I too understand what you’re going through. Been there, done that, but my reason was infidelity, physical, and mental abuse.

I also applaud you for staying as long as you did and the courage you’re demonstrating to end a relationship that began so beautifully. Please tell your kids they’re awesome for supporting you in this tough decision. Our kids always know. Mine did even at 10 and 6 even though I tried to hide it from them.

You just take care of yourself and keep your head up. Know that when you can get on the forum our hearts will be open and welcoming. We love you and support you and just want you to be the stronger, happier, more confident, loving woman we know you can and will be once you’ve begun the healing process.

If you ever want to talk…give me a call. PM and I’ll give you my number.

    Take care…Hugs & Kissess xoxo

OK..here’s the verdict after 2 hours of pole practice tonight: not nearly as much wiping down the pole as I did with the chrome.

To be quite honest I may have wiped it down about 6 times because my hands got sweaty do to the intense workout.

I’m quite pleased with the titanium gold 45 mm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Hope this helps you out Jenn!

I haven’t had that problem with my pole. I’ve got a long day of practice ahead of me so that should be enough research to give you answer! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Will post my findings later tonight! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif I sound like a scientist on the Sci-Fi channel!!!

I did the same thing and love my 45 mm titanium gold. No more slipping and I can actually hold on. Not only that I can do the Gemini & Scorpio consistently now that I can get my legs to fit around the pole & not slip. Just my 2cents!

That really sucks…your job ending and the refund thing. It sounds like you’re doing all the right stuff so you just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the warning though. I was wondering, what did you order and why’d you return it??

    Sissy,

I’d never worn stripper shoes & there wasn’t a place locally that had the type shoes I was looking for. Since I didn’t know what size to get I order 2 of each pair in size 9 and 10. So I ended up sending back the sizes that didn’t fit. Now that I know my size I won’t have this dilemma.

Thanks for the well wishes on the job. I’m gonna go back to school and finish my degree in social work while drawing my unemployment. Also, my hubby & I have a few things we’ve been working on. Don’t want to reveal it until we get it going.

It’s so funny how things work out. God worked it out that just last Friday I contact my credit union and increased my line of credit. Additionally, I requested a few credit line increases on my credit cards. So, once the savings and unemployment are gone we’ll have something to fall back on in about a year.

I was able to put back some money from my expense checks for a rainy day so I’m not too worried. Planning ahead can really make things so much easier.

Thanks again for the well wishes. This forum is the BOMBBBBBB! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Sorry to hear of your injury Veena. I know exactly what you mean about the frustration. My fingers and wrist hurting all the time since I started poling is getting to me.

Hang in there and definitely try to get a second opinion. If you’re in a managed care plan simply change your PCP and go to another one as soon as you can. Make sure you speak with them before you make the change to learn about their bedside manner.

Hope you feel better and can get to poling again soon. Hugs & kisses!

Street Moda or My Shoe Addiction on ebay.com.

Discount Stripper is definitely off my list of places to shop for shoes. I’ve purchased from them and had to send back items. I’ve been waiting almost a month for them to refund my money. I’ll never, ever make another purchase from them.

Jungle Cat, I had to comment after your last statement about the woman getting turned on while watching your praise dance.

First, if that woman is getting turned on by watching you praise God then she needs to really ask God to help her in more ways than one. You cannot be responsible for her actions unless it was your intention to turn her on. People make the mistake of taking on someone else’s baggage simply because of something someone said or did.

Her getting turned on by your dancing is no more blasphemous than a man getting turned on by me simply because I have on a particular kind of perfume at church. I didn’t wear it for him nor did I have any clue that my perfume would cause him to have that kind of reaction. I know my example is not the same, but you get my meaning. I get happy in church and my rhythm comes out even in that. Am I supposed to be responsible because some jerk thinks my behind is cute while I’m praising at church? No, but that jerk should be!

Please, please don’t let the remarks these people made second guess yourself or how you choose to praise. The pole isn’t evil and you are not evil either.
