Thank you for taking your time to give me an answer! I really appreciate it. I guess I’ll stick to my V chopsticks then haha

I can’t lift my leg into a nice flatter chopsticks. It’s in an ugly V shape for now.

The ankle strap seems to be the same width as the others? Or am I mistaken?

But but… I love them! Will the heart win or the head? Hahah!

I think I’ll get the 6 inch ones and another pair of 7 inch ones, maybe a white or a chrome one. Thanks everyone!

Sorry, I guess I wasn’t clear. Hands! Hurt a lot more!
I guess I can sell the pole but I don’t really want to, as I’ll probably have to sell at a loss, and it’s practically new too. I was thinking if I can nail a 45mm, then a 40mm would not be an issue since I have rather large man hands anyway.

    Hi everyone,
Just as a help to anyone else having this problem, I contacted XPole and they said it’s rust spots. I managed to remove over 90% of them with a mix of sodium bicarbonate and lemon juice. It didn’t seem to have scrubbed off any of the gold layer and no scratches, in fact looks shinier than ever.

Yeah I’ve read through that discussion but it didn’t resolve anytthing so I was wondering if anyone has any updates or new experiences regarding that. I’ve tried to use my nail to get the spots off but it didn’t work too.
    Thanks anyway.

Allison, you know what, that’s the exact video from the exact class I’m contemplating on taking. I’m not sure but I keep thinking I just can’t get the momentum and technique right for handspring but I may be strong enough for a deadlift like that? I must say I have doubts though.

Oh yeah, I’m actually one of the only two in class who has a stable consistent ayesha. I got my extended butterfly a year before anyone and most can’t do a proper one yet. Jade I can do but I cant split so it’s ugly. Allegra I learnt out of class. It’s all these strength moves to get my butt up that I just can’t get and everyone else can get! Hence the theory about height.

Yeah my husband’s an engineer. He’s already given me the whole cantilever lecture hahaha! Anyway, I don’t even know how to practice for the two anymore! Should I just doggedly try and try or is there a more effective way to practice these two moves? Thanks girls!

I haven’t tried it again, but I had to go to a right sided invert to scorpio, reverse ayesha, and then hook right leg back, and then try to push my body back from the front of the pole. I found that my top hand was twisted and so I couldn’t get to the other side properly, much less extend!

Hmm… I mean from CAR you have to move your butt to the side of the pole before you can hook your leg right… I can’t seem to be able to move it far out enough to hook at the knee pit rather than say my calf. Maybe it’s just lack of practice.

I can definitely sit up from CAR. The thing is that this is taught as part of a choreographed song but it’s been taught so late into the sessions! For me anyway, since I can’t grasp it! Now I have 2 weeks to learn this thing and incorporate it in and it looks like I’m the only one that can’t do it. Anyway enough whining…
How far out do I have to lean my butt in order to hook my leg properly? It always feels like I’m leaning away quite a bit but I can never grip it properly.

Hi. I am allergic to the chrome x pole that my studio uses. I didn’t have much problems until I progressed to more than spins. Anyway what I usually do is pop an antihistamine before class and liberal steroid cream use if any rashes do appear. Normally it works quite well. I have a titanium gold pole at home with no issues. As of now, I already have some permanent patches of thickened scaly skin at areas of contact like between my thighs. UGLY!!

Progress report! Well, I’ve not been trying any aerial inverts or any other moves for the past 2 weeks, but I’ve been doing the P90x Abs Ripper and invert preps and pole pull ups everyday and I tried today with the aerial invert and I manage to do it, properly too, not just catching the pole at the sole of my foot. I’m going to incorporate that in my workout now. I think for me, I can’t stop work outs, or else I’ll lose my moves again. Next problem to solve…the pesky calluses, they hurt and have stopped me from poling cos of painful gripping, but that’s a story for another day. 😉

Ugh yesterday we did some scorpio climbs and I could not do the aerial invert part. That really sucks. Anyway, there is a three week break before the next class, and I’m going to be on the pole daily now and will try that protein thing. Bought some yesterday! How much to take anyway?

I’m upset cos it seems to me that I’m the only one in class that cannot do it now, and I swear I had done it at home, and then when we do something else in class for a few weeks and I take for granted that I won’t lose the ability to do it, and suddenly asked to do it and I couldn’t. And I come home and try and nope, absolutely can’t do it. Everyone else in class doesn’t seem to lose the ability, whether they go to practice or not out of the class. And that’s really upsetting to me. With scissors climb, I have to do climbs everyday to prevent me from losing the ability. I can’t pole everyday, and repeat the same moves day after day just to prevent ability loss.

I think alcohol works best for me. I got a titanium cos of the grippiness and of course since I’m allergic to the studio’s chrome poles, but it seems titanium isn’t that grippy or it’s just me. Probably me.

I suppose I do…everyone else needs grip aids and I never do. I only wish I had the same at home, it’s frustrating and I always feel reluctant to practice due to that. Have ordered Gorilla Snot…Mighty Grip does not work for me.

So, yes or no to using diluted vinegar on a TG pole?? Would really love to try!

Wow, that is quite a good site. Thanks guys for the pointers. I do suppose I’m also rather impatient about getting results as fast as possible too, but it probably isn’t something that is possible haha!

    Hi All,

Thanks for the advice. I do have problems fitting in everything and it's not easy being extremely unflexible as well. How often do you do pole training in a week besides class? Adding that to the equation makes me feel like I need to do a workout every day of the week and frankly, I'm always too lazy hehehe
