  • Thanks everybody!
I don’t really want to cut my lil mynx, since we are going to move back into our house in the us in a like 2 years, so I still want it to fit there. But that’s good to know for the future!
we got moved here – my husband’s a contractor that works on a military base here, so we just had the movers pack the pole and put it on the ship with all our other furniture.
I was thinking about getting a stage pole, too – but they’re just too high. And then with the added height because of the stage, possibly a pole mat and the low ceilings, I would end up having like 2 feet left in between the stage and the ceiling 😉 and since the weather here sucks like hell (I am German and grew up here, so I know 😉 ) I wouldn’t be able to pole outside. There would probably be like 10 days per year where I could do that, weather-wise.
Guess I’ll try the xpole then… you guys made me feel a little better about this. Thanks!!

  • I am talking about a ceiling joist here in Germany. Not sure what the standard size is – but this one is about 3 inches wide.
Do you have an X-pole? So, if the joist is less than 2 inches and you center the xpole, it still works, even though the dome is basically sticking out on both sides?
Since I had a lil mynx pole in the US, I never paid attention to how wide the beams were, so I was worried that the joists here might not be wide enough to support the pole.
so, you’re saying it should be fine?
