Laser hair removal. Expensive but best thing I ever did. Doesn't necessarily remove all the hair, you can just have it done a few times if you want to thin it out a bit to make it more manageable.

My physio told me that I have "larger than normal back muscles" and I've also been told several times that I work out too much. The best compliment I ever received was simply "you're really strong" from Shimmy in a workshop at the Australian Summer Pole Camp! I was super chuffed because she's my favourite "pole model" haha

Wanted to bump this up and find out if anyone had any reviews of Rockin Legs and Abs yet?? I really want to buy it, but money is tight at the moment so don't want to get it until I've heard some good reviews 🙂

Agreed Juicy! Alot of girls made minor mistakes. I even saw a couple of sloppy V inverts last weekend which I wasn't expecting. They were all great but Kristy was amazing. I loved her Iron X leg wave thing too 🙂

Sounds great! I'd buy one! Lou Landers has just started selling hers here in Aus: http://www.loulanders.com.au/polegoalsdiarypreorder

A phone app diary would be awesome too!

LOVE IT! I was at MDP on the weekend and she did this in her flight attendant routine. She was by far my favourite contestant of the night!

Echo, that’s crap, you should report them for harassment or something.

In this day and age I don’t see how pole dancing can be taken offensively or negatively by anyone, considering the type of crap people engage in elsewhere (ie all the Facebook groups dedicated to “naked selfies”, sex confessions and general idiocy). I’m ruthless with anyone who even hints at taking my dancing negatively. For example, a distant cousin commented on Facebook that it was amusing that two of his cousins had poles in their houses. BAM, just like that he’s gone and deleted from my life, I have no tolerance for ignorance when it comes to pole!

Haha love it! Everyone knows that I pole. My manager, my executive officer, my colleagues. It's not really something that is taboo around here. In fact, they actually enjoy looking at my pics/ videos and are usually curious about it, asking a lot of questions and being amazed over the strength, etc it takes! I love it so much I couldn't keep it a secret even if I tried! Well done on being able to keep that one quiet!! 😛

Full-time Social Worker. Currently work with the homeless, placing them into appropriate accommodation and helping those at risk of homelessness to maintain their current arrangements to avoid them losing their accommodation. Wouldn't mind changing fields though, the hopelessness of working with too many people with not enough accommodation or resources is very emotionally draining!

Haha I know how you feel. Mine came within one day of ordering it,  but of course I didn't know until a day later because my housemate dragged the box in and left it by the front door (which I don't use). I couldn't believe it had been sitting there all that time and I didn't know haha goodluck for Monday!!

Tali Kat, what if you put a rug or some carpet underneat? I know shannabanana said her dad didn't think it would help but I have a nice solid rug in my dining room and if my floors were more flexy I imagine it would be fine under my pole to help distribute the weight. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Nope, mine aren't overly flexy. There is one part of the floor which has water damage and is flexy and some parts along the edge of the floor which are flexy but in general, not really. My pole is right in the middle of my dining room so the floor is pretty solid there

My x-pole is on floating floorboards and I've never had a problem with it! Never even crossed my mind really. So no advice from me sorry, although it might be rather uncomfortable to do floor work if you place a peice of wood under the pole lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I can't use my mat anymore because the cats will instantly lay on it as soon as I show any interest in it. They also play with their toys around the pole and use it to kick off and attack the toys (sometimes jumping up the pole) and also like playing with their reflection in the pole! I've also had my hair attacked and landed awkwardly due to cats under the pole whilst upside down 😛

My cats do EXACTLY what is depicted on the t-shirts LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

My real name is Tanya Maree. Tanya comes from the Russian name Tatiana, of which Tia is a nickname. So Tanya Maree = TiaMaria and 27 for my birthdate. Plus, the drink is nice too 😉

For me it has been the entire pole journey, from getting the courage to start classes at the beginning of the year, to nailing my shoulder mount and elbow/split grip ayshas a few weeks ago! In the space of one year I have gone from not being able to hold myself up on the pole to gaining such confidence, strength, control and flexibility! The impact it has had on my self-image and respect for my body is amazing! The whole pole journey has been a great achievement for me (including  finding  SV along the way!) Bring on 2012!!!!https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
