I think it depends on your skill level. I haven’t used Jamilla’s, but I found Felix’s videos extremely easy. I was a little disappointed that I purchased them all. I really only needed the advanced one.

Rock N Body would be my first choice, followed by Impulse Dance and then Apple Jelly.

We use Lil Mynx at our studio. I got the Xpole cuz my hubby was flipping out about drilling something into the ceiling of our house. Most men would be thrilled to have a pole. My husband worries about the value of our house if the ceiling is damaged.

I try to warm up by spinning on it, but I literally fall to the ground when I try to spin. I can’t grip at all. Is there a way to actually physically warm the pole. I do realize that the pole is colder to the touch than the ones at our studio.

My A pole and B poles are the same size, and it worked for me.

I had the same problem. This is what I did, and it worked perfectly. I took a broom and unscrewed the handle from it. I shoved it into the pole up to the jam. The then used a hammer to bang the handle until the other end popped out. No damage to anything. Perfect condition.

I didn’t order the pole. I already have a pole. I just ordered an extender. I can’t use my pole with out it though. It’s been almost 2 weeks. My pole is just lying in the middle of the floor angering my husband cuz it’s just sitting there. Of course, it would be nice to use my pole. I just want a "yes, it’s on the way and will be there this week." Or a, "no. we don’t have your order on record." My card hasn’t even been charged.

I got the parts free. My husband banged it out with a hammer and a broomstick. I’m just worried now that once I actually start using it, the problem will occur again.

My wonderful husband got it free. He slid a broomstick handle into the pole and banged the handle with a hammer until the extender popped out. It’s great. No damage or anything. I did find out this is a common issue with the xjoints.

I can’t open the link, so I will try and find her.

The pole is a 50mm chrome. She sold it because she is moving to a bigger place and needed money for deposits and such. She says she couldn’t justify keeping something she used 5 times since she got it. She said it was for fitness but she never really got started on the pole path. Oh well. Her loss is my gain.

1000 calories per hour seems really high. That’s 16.6 calories per minute. The average adult runner only burns approx. 10 calories per minute.

You’re gonna get sore for the few 1-2 weeks of starting any new workout program. It’s a combination of your body adjusting to new activity and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) caused by the build up of lactic acid in your body. If you keep up with the workouts, the soreness will fade. Keep in mind that there’s a difference from a little soreness and extreme pain which indicates you are doing too much too fast.

As for managing your time to get in the workouts, I say do them first thing in the morning. This way, nothing can come up in your day to interfere with your workouts. Make an effort to wake up about an hour or 1.5 hours earlier everyday, and get them in. After about a month, it will be a habit.

Fitness is my life. I’m into weight training, and I’m currently training for another marathon. My week looks like this:

Monday: Weight training and teach drop in class
    Tuesday; Run and boxing
    Weds: Weights
    Thursday: Run and teach pole
    Friday: Elliptical trainer
    Saturday: Weights and Boxing
Sunday: Long run and pole jam
