natural tips- I am a dye whore…named by my friend..she who will remain nameless…I'm natural blonde, goes mousy/dirty in the summer, first let it be said, natural blonde is not a BAD colour..media keeps rubbing it in "its dirty" "mousey" having hair the clour of a "mucky rodent" is enough to make anyone hate their hair…love your own colour, focus more on healthy thick shiny hair…but we're her because we've been dye-whores..I found a secret, first, if you've gone too dark, or worse still used bleech and turned yourself the delightful shade of "fox" heres what to do…buy a hat…ok..but you MUST RESIST buying dye for at least 6 weeks…you can do this! you hate it, but it will be worth it once you stunn everyone with your new nice hair..OLIVE OIL and COCONUT OIL is what you need…and cling film, wet your hair with LUKE WARM water till its sodden, DO NOT towel dry, just gently squeeze any excess, if you've been over dying, your hair will hold a lot of water due to damage, we can use this to our advantage, whilst hair is soaked, apply the oil and wrapp your head in clingfilm, STAY LIKE THIS ALL NIGHT!  rince out in the morning using ANY shampoo with MACADEMIA OIL/EXTRACT (prob spelt that wrong?) leave to dry IN THE AIR, you'll prob find your hair stays wet most of the day so a loose tyed up style is best, do this twice a week for 6 weeks. the last 3 weeks mix NUTMEG,BAKING SODA and LEMON JUICE. make a lot of it, (1 jiff lemon shaped thingy,2 teasp nutmeg, 1 baking soda) this will lift your dark shade gently removing some of the colour, do this once a week for last 3 weeks. get your hair trimmed a couple of centimetres, now it should feel lovely, but a yucky orange or still quite dark.GO TO A SALON (ask for high lights, 3 tones best) If they won't, buy a home streak CAP do not use the bleach that comes with it, instead buy Sun in super,(do a strand test first to test how damaged your hair is, if its "elastic noodles" when wet? you have to stay orange/dark and repeat the oil treatment till its less noodley) pull hair through ,slightly damped hair to be sprayed, spray it, hair dry it on low, cool for 30 mins, then 20 mins on hot…yes I know it smells, yes it can make your eyes water…be near an open window. Next day do the coconut oil treatment. keep repeating this and your hair will become lighter and look more natural, red tones will decrease with use of the lemon mix. I used this method to restore my hair from, black, dark green, cadbury purple, turquoise, deep blue, brassy orange. …lastly, learn to love your own unique colour, and leave it alone, stop dying it, trust me, people envy the shine and condition more than the colour!
