I dance to everything. I have no preference at all. LOL
I use an app on my iphone called pandora and you can enter an artist or a song and it will play music similar to that, so when I dance whatever song or artist is on my mind….I enter that and then go for it. For example….’Hmmm….I like this Beyonce song" enter Beyonce and it will play her music and other music in the same or similar genre.
My mood alternates….and so does my music https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Mmmmm stretching in the hot tube! what a good idea!

..Yeah. I have.. really no interest in reading what someone thought about what I said. I want the person to read the comment, but not feel like they should respond to make me feel noticed. That way everyone feels like a superstar who doesn’t have to respond to their little people. The comments are for the video,… unless you ask a question, then you can return back to have it answered.
However, if SV gets to comment notification, I’ll definitely pursue comment-conversations to the best of my ability.
…I thought this was going to be like, a .. different kind of etiquette post, though. Like, "Is it wrong to leave a comment that only contains only booty praise?" …’Cause no. It ain’t. If that’s wrong, I don’t wanna be right.
Gotta love the booty praise. I don’t wanna be right either.

If your left arm is up then your left leg should be on the pole. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

How cool Jeng! Did she teach you all kinds of wonderfully awesome things?

I think you might be having a flexibility problem in your hamstrings and chest and shoulders. I’d work on stretching there so you can get your arms behind you comfortably.
Your biceps getting buff is a good thing! One of my favorite things about poling is the nice tones arms it gets you. make sure you’re stretching your arms often. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I’ve been watching how people climb more closely lately and I see people with both feet behind the pole and one in front and one behind. My pole is so short at home that I can’t really climb so I don’t even know how I do it or even if I can LOL. I’m going to start taking more classes so I can use a higher pole and work on climbing.

I wear a 10 in normal shoes and the one pair of heels I have is a 9. when I bought them at the studio they told me to go down a size and it worked out ok….of course I got to try them on first…soooo…I guess I’m no help here LOL.
Damn. Why do I kepp doing that? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif -
This used to happen to me too. And just like you, it didn’t start hurting me til after i had been inverting for at least a month or so.. and i also noticed it was more intense with the chopper. I remember Veena telling me that it was because i was using mostly my lats to invert, rather than my arm muscles & abs. So maybe you could try focusing on engaging those muscles more. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Another thing that really helped me with this, was that i started warming up my back really really well : lift your arms straight up over your shoulders (keeping knees slightly bent & pelvis tilted front) and then pull them straight down behind your ears- as if you’re trying to pull down elastic bands attached to the ceiling (for resistance). https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Also make sure to stretch your back. I found that the one where you’re sitting down, legs straight ahead, & cross one leg over the other & then twist torso to the other side while pushing elbow against the crossed leg really pinpoints that spot of the back. Hope this helps, and hope you feel better! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif
I think this might be the problem! In my attempt to roll into my inverts I have been engaging everything by my arms. The pain is all up my upper side area LOL (lats). This all makes sense. I need to use more arms. Ive been so concerned with not using too much "kick" that I think I over compensated https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Do you usually slide down of an invert or do you sometimes jump out of it, feet back to the floor? I don’t know much about this, but my instructor popped a rib once in class…yeah, It was quite the shock, when she reversed back down from a chopper, ab control is needed even when you are going down. if you slide down always, then I don’t know. ignore me. LOL!
Lately I’m sliding down and sometimes coming out of it and lowering myself down. I try not to jump out of it…although I can’t say that never happens.
Damn I didnt make my vid and now its 1130…..I would try now but I have to warm up a bit…..

Hey sissy! I went to the comp last year and would love to go again next year to cheer you on!!! YOu should have let me know you wanted that DVD, I have it and could’ve given you a copy. I have a ton of vids, so if you want any let me know. If you ever want to come over to dance or practice, just give me a shout!! I’m always too scared to perform so I could live vicariously through you!
Oh angel that would be so cool! I need all the help I can get. I want to see your vids!

Damn I missed this whole ordeal! I’m glad you got approved though.
I didn’t even bring up my pole to my housing people but then again I didn’t need help finding a joist. if I did and they gave me a hard time I would have went the planthook route like Veena said and put it up anyway LOL.
So is the pole up and ready to go?
