Sissy, Pam at http://www.teasefitnessandapparel.com/gpage2.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; said she wants you guys to call her for info about the party. 16 spin/non spin brass poles. Arundel Mills doesn’t have spinners. Her # is 410-382-1735. This is a ways from DC though. At least an hour and fifteen minutes.

Thanks Angel for checkin on that for me but I think I’m going to go with Xpose. I’m going to go ahead and book the party today. I sooo wish you could come https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Yeah you have to really fly into it. That’s how veena taught me.

If you saw the youtube video of me doing it I was just walking into it without any momentum…that’s not the way to do it right LOL.

You gotta flyyyyy….get the momentum. Thats what propels you from one spin to the next https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    HI V,
I explained to them that we don’t need an instructor. Just the space and they understand that. The location I’m in talks with is the Arundel Mills location and I’ve been talking to the manager Hope. I don’t think you need to contact her, unless you just want to and that’s fine too. I told her we just want to have a party with no instruction or class.

I’ll be in chat tonight so we can discuss because it will need to be booked ASAP because they do book up fast. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Hey folks,
I asked Xpose if we could have our jam there and they said that we could book a "Private Party" and have the pole room to our self for an hour and a half. The cost would be $19 per person for 5-9 people and $15 per person for 10 more people. If we wanted longer we could book 2 parties back to back, then the cost would double.

    They have availability on

    Friday the 18th from 8:30-10:00pm
    Saturday the 19th at 4,6 or 8

I think that if we did use xpose we should do a double party on saturday (maybe take the 4 and 6 slots) and then we could even head over to pole pressure afterwards for their x-mas party if we felt so inclined https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif .

It would be a fun filled day of pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

    Ideas?

    Hi Sur,
When I first started taking pole dance classes my husband reffered to them as stripper school and really only tolerated it because I had a close friend that was into it and we went together. Actually we were only taking floor chair classes (because she had no interest in trying the pole) but when she left and I wanted to go on my own he gave me a hard time everytime I wanted to go and I ended up just stopping because it was drama whenver I wanted to go.
Eventually the urge became too strong and I started sneaking. I would go during my lunch hour or go in the evenings and tell him I was going to the gym. We actually ended up seperating (for an array of other reasons) but while we were apart I embraced pole and got one in my own home. He would come over and see me and see what I was doing and I think he had a totoal different idea of what I was trying to do. I think he thought I was really trying to work towards becoming an exotic dancer and if I wasn’t …then what was the point? Once he saw me doing what I do he understood it was something totally different. He was a tad bit more open minded because I had left and he wanted me bac LOL, but since we have reconciled he knows how much I enjoy poling and that it’s not only about dancing at clubs or stripping.

My stripper disclaimer …I don’t have any problem with stripping but my husband does when it comes to his wife LOL.

If you can show him what you are doing (or plan to do) I think it will help him to understand. It seems he’s already some what open to it because he didn’t try to stop you from buying one on ebay and seems to be cool with you trying to buy again. Just show him.

Like Georgiamarie posted….show him that stuff. Educate him LOL.

Yeah Daya you left too early, you missed the show LOL. I helped Reggie put it up and and it’s not complicated. I just didn’t tighten it good enough that’s all. I have learned my lesson.

    Eheheh. IT IS SCARY.

Did you feel like you were riding the pole down?

I remember that’s how I felt when my supapole fell down wtih me with it. we were having a tasty little standing fireman, and then all of a sudden, we were riding down towards the floor.

That really sucks that you hurt yourself, though. Lets be glad that the pole crushed the wall and not you, though! Usually with post housing (I’ve found), you don’t have to pay for anything less than fist sized – I guess a free PTSD get out of bill free card, or something? So if it’s not TOO huge, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Otherwise, drywall patching isn’t a huge charge anyways. We had some guy throw his boot hard enough to make a boot sized dent in the wall – and that was only 20 bucks.

I felt like my spin was getting very horizontal….LOL. The hole is much bigger then fist size. The whole half of dome basically went into the wall. If I have to pay then I have to pay. It’s my fault for not doing the right thing and practicing safe pole! LOL

Reggie put her back up lastnight and I had a good, sturdy session https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif I’m back in the game!

OMG Sis, is your arm okay? I had my Hubby make mine permenant, that is my only fear doing pole. i know eventually I’ll need one I can take with me, but worry about this very thing happening. Do you have an xpole? I heard they can unscrew themselves if they are not tightened good enough, same with lilminx. Is that what happened? Hope your pole is okay too.Hugs

The xpole is very sturdy and reliable…when installed properly. When my husband puts it up I have no problems. Of course he has read the directions and I was just going off of what I thought it was supposed to be and in a hurry to pole. Stupid…stupid…..
