The poles we use during lesson are metallic, not x-pole though. My x-pole is chrome (to be sure: not gold coloured) The alcohol advice could help! Will try asap.

Hi,

I have an X-pole and I use a plant spray (spray can? don’t know the exact English word for it) filled with water and ammonia. My teacher advised me to do so and it works fine.
