what an awesome thread….i got my pole awhile ago- a 50mm chrome, and at first i was really happy with it, but now i cant stick at all, i feel like after a few spins im having to clean it off and even then i dont feel comfortable doing certain moves because im slipping. i think that maybe it could be the temperature in my room or maybe its my body chemistry reacting negatively with the pole, im not sure. im saving up for a 45mm though, maybe that will help with grip, id love love love to have a brass pole, but i dont trust platinum stages, and id only buy from veena’s site. lets hope that xpole comes out with a removeable brass pole soon!

when veena taught me how to do the superman, OMG THE PAIN WAS AWFUL!!!!!!! i definitely wasn’t used to my thighs being in that position on the pole- but now it’s absolutely no big deal at all. but i know what you’re talking about because ive tried the yogini and the pain is intense!! i think with practice and repetition though our skin will become tougher https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif we’ll get it!

i have trouble with grip too, i dunno if its my hands that are super sweaty or the alcohol that im using isn’t the best; but sometimes i wonder if i should have gotten the 45 instead of the 50.
i heard they have 38’s though now!! that must feel like a twig in your hands!
