Hmmm…this is interesting…everyone seems to go UP in size??? I’m an 8.5 and go down…going up would be way to big! for me at least. I have even found that my sz 8 clear ellie tend to be a little too loose once the mtl is warmed up. Plus, I don’t like the heel of my shoe extending further than my own heel. To each her own! Congrats on the new shoes and clothes!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Okay…so I said that I would post more so here goes…..losing weight is not a battle…it is a journey…sounds corny I know…but you really have to look at it as a journey with many twist, turns and curves! I don’t believe in diets…they just don’t work…you may lose a few pounds here or there, but usually it comes back as soon as you stop the diet. As the adage goes…exercise and eating right and hard work are the only real things you can do to be successful. A few rules that I live by are 1. drink lots and lots of water…you need it 2. sleep…get enough sleep…people who tend to not get enough sleep tend to gain more weight. Your body needs rest. 3. do an activity that is fun and makes you feel good…for us it’s pole. 4. be mindful about what goes in your body…usually your body is a reflection about what you eat…your skin, hair, nails etc… 5. the most important one….be possitive and believe that you are worthy of being healthy! You don’t have to be a sz 2 to be healthy and beautiful (no offense to you little girls https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif ). The one thing that I have found with pole is that since I have allowed my body to move the way it was ment to move (hippy and swagger) I have found more confidence and amazement it myself! You don’t find confidence in skinny jeans!! You find it knowing what you are capable of and what you have already accomplished. It’s kind of funny, because I have found weight loss to be more about attitude and thoughts than about food it’s self! As far as being mindful about food…it sounds cliche…but read the ingredients…if you can’t say it…don’t eat it! Fresh is always best…but if you need to get canned or processed…check the sodium content…go sodium free if you can. If you need salt, use sea salt. You can still eat the things you love…just don’t eat the whole pizza!

As far as activities to help aid in weight loss…you can do anything that gets you moving. I personally only do pole. I could go for a walk but honestly…I’d rather spend the 45 min on my pole! I get all three key elements in one super fun and sexy package( aerobic, strength and flexibility). You can do it…if and only if you truly know what you want and be willing to put forth the effort to accomplish it! Yu can do it girl! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I try to avoid traditional doctors unless it is absolutely necessary. I am lucky enought that my chiropractor is also the physical trainer for Winthrop University (here in the city I live)…Anytime I have any kind of injury I ALWAYS go to him first! A few mths ago I had a horrible pain in my left elbow and my pinky and ring finger would tingle and then go numb. I went and got adjusted and it hasn’t been back since.

I hope you figure out what is going on and you make a speedy recovery!
