About the old style x-poles, I have one as well. It is a descent pole, except when I moved nothing we did would get the two main rods apart. We taped the paper tubes they came in together, and put the whole thing inside, so we were able to move it without worrying about damage, but its still a pain. Also, it never spun particularly well. The first one I got didn't spin at all when it was in spinning mode. As other people have noted, X-pole has great customer service, and replaced my parts, but even after the replacements, it doesn't spin nearly as well as many other poles I've been on (it seems to get stuck in one place). I'm considering buying a new pole now, and I am wondering if the X-pert has a similar spinning problem. Does anyone have expierence with the poles?
