Maybe rely on left knee pit and right arm and release into pretty spin??? Or plummet face down to the floor both could work lol

Hamstrings are the worst!!! Make sure you are stretching and strengthening I take a stretch band and tie one end to pole and other to ankle square shoulders with pole and pull leg straight back… Lifts your bootie too!!

I had stainless and always cleaned with rubbing alcohol and use Cramers firm grip on the pole directly if needed…

I stopped teaching at the studio I went to because the owner was totally losing her passion for pole and was no longer investing in her business.  People who were paying good money to attend were getting ripped off and it was aggravating.  I think it is different for every studio but I wish people would just focus on what got them there in the beginning, the love and passion for the sport!

I agree with the others… It took me two months before I even tried anything other than a spin… Just keep doing what makes you have fun and the strength will come… I feel like I am needing to listen to my own advice as I am typing this LOL … you are probably like me and just don't know how to be patient with your body and want to be pro status like yesterday… I totally understand and the best thing is to go back to the first thing you learned because at one point you were not able to do that either… proves you will do just fine!  Stick with it!

I keep looking up things that suggest hypoglycemia… oddly enough… I do better if I eat fast food before working out… This is not contributing to a healthy diet 🙁

I think I might have to look into Iron deficiencies… I gave blood last week and it took a LOT longer to recover than it should have and many people said that I could have a minor iron deficiency… bummer 🙁 I will have to try some of the instant breakfasts etc…

As for the breathing suggestions, I used to take martial arts you would think I would have breathing techniques down… I guess not LOL will have to force myself to learn every move with breathing times… Thanks!

I just got off a rest week :/ donating blood prevented me from working out for a while and then holiday weekend… well it was a holiday weekend… 🙂 I want to say I get shaky and faint like from something missing in my diet but can't figure out what…. It started going away but I don't know what I was doing to make that happen unless I was just working out more consistently…

I like the idea of forcing myself to breath in every move… why is that so hard??? If I make this habit it should help…

I am warming up but not sure if I am warming up right I usually freestyle to warm up and just understand that the first freestyle will just suck… then I stretch and then do some combos, new moves etc.

Usually end with deep stretching, abs, and some lifting…

I just wish I felt stronger through the workout… maybe something I need to eat to get a better result?  I had chicken and pasta before my workout today and felt light headed and shaky.  Combine that with not breathing and it just was not fun 🙁

Great advice! When I started doing some weights and Pilates stuff I noticed some pain subside so that is definitely helping…. why is food such a hard one?!?!! I am trying to incorporate more yoga to help with flexibility and control… I will have to try the routine idea that sounds good, and never thought of that one! Thanks!!!

I know many people that learn on their own… I used to teach at a studio and majority of what we taught we just collaboratively learned so I think by tapping in here in combination with youtube it is very possible!

If you are going to spend the money get the one with both static and spin… I did not try spin until a year in and I soooo wish I had done it sooner… I feel like I have to relearn it all on spin now 🙁  Both are important but I would rather pay the small increase and have the option to try spin at any time than to be stuck without it and let me tell you… when you want to start spin… you will not want to wait!!!

Agree with all the above comments I will say though that I am the closest to my high school weight and strength than I have ever been before do to pole… I was doing cardio kick boxing and zumba and both did not get the results that pole did… maybe it has to do with the fact that I am obsessed and therefore more consistent, however if you love it go for it!

This is a good post as it has taken over a year for me and my family to kind of figure out how pole will find it's place in this busy life of ours… I wouldn't worry about your kids, I am sure they will be taught the many differences between pole and strip (I don't judge and have friends that strip) but if you concern lies there I would not worry.  My son is 3 and he just LOVES to pole with me and at first my husband and I were concerned but I think that it is a legit sport and as long as you are comfortable with it that is all that should matter.

It’s really hard seeing others progress especially when I am doing all I can to commit and work and feel like it doesn’t pay off… Makes me wonder if I’m doing something wrong or is it just going to take more time I’m told it will just take time so trying to stay positive and just keep holding on to what I know!
