I hate that I missed it! I plan on bringing a crew next year!

It's a thinner hoodie, more appropriate for spring evenings. The front is plain black. It's super comfy and I love the print on the cuffs!

I have had a lot of students believe they are doing EXACTLY what they've been instructed to only to have their coach point out that they've got their grip flipped or they are missing some small key point. Yes, I know that if you post your videos here someone will help you out and possibly catch it. But I also know that sometimes it takes a live instructor several times of watching the student perform the move before even they catch it.
So, I'm not saying that studio lessons are a must and I'm certainly not saying that video lessons are bad. Just that they are missing that one thing that could be very important! Also, not every studio has capable instructors and may not be worth your time/money. Just my two cents….

Oh yeah! System of a Down, Marilyn Manson, and Tool are some of my favorites to dance to! You do have to pick up the pace to dance to metal but I don't ever pay attention to the beat – I dance to the "flow" the runs underneath the beat. That's how I'm able to dance to Slipknot and Slayer without killing myself! 😉

I just posted on one of the other threads – I'm here but don't have a Veena button. I'm hard to miss though' as my hair is purple and blonde. 🙂

I'm here with a couple of non-Veneers but would love to meet any of you! I'm pretty recognizable, so if you see the girl with platinum blonde and purple hair…it's probably me! 😉

In talking to a professional aerial performer, he told me that I could use a lyra in a room with 10' ceilings. There are some drawbacks though and you should set it up in a manner that you can easily change how high off the ground it is. Basically, to work on things where you hang off the bottom, you'd have to raise it up close to the ceiling and to work on things where you stand in the lyra or sit on top if it you'd have to lower it closer to the floor. But if you are looking at 36" hoop, you could typically leave it with 4' below and 3' above, then move it up and down as necessary.

So what are you guys packing to wear for the parties? I asked on PoleCon's facebook page and they said "as casual or dressy as you want"…..thanks guys, that's a lot of help! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif At the moment, I'm thinking jeans and heels with a nice shirt for Friday night and a cocktail dress for Saturday. Anyone else with a similar plan?

Pretty much. I know what components they're looking for. I guess the 10 moves are just whichever 10 I want to do from the level I'm grading for, correct?

Thanks for the reply Empyrean. It's nice to know that someone is organized, anyway! So, you get one free online grading with your membership purchase – can I submit that through you or will it have to go through the UK?

Thanks Pippi! I'd feel a lot better about sending them money if someone would write me back. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
