dunno if anyone posted the body & pole workshop info yet, but here it is..

Wow. She’s an awesome dancer. I though she would get picked, but she said something about not having the money to go this year, which is a shame. If it’s her, I hope she could work something out and hopefully reconsider.

I just signed up for the strickly tricks workshop!! Charlottesville’s only an hour and a half from my house! As it gets closer, let’s all talk more about what workshops everyone’s taking and maybe plans to meet up before, in between, and after! I’m so excited!

I think it could make a difference in the sense that the lighting is usually poor and there are distractions around the dancer that take away from the performance but I don’t think it affects Wendy and Anna’s decision otherwise. Wendy was a stripper at one point and many (if not most) of the contestants so far have worked in clubs as well.
It’s also important to realize they might not be looking at the same things we do. Tricks are great but if you don’t have flow, you won’t be the most interesting person to watch onstage. They are trying to find a lineup of girls with skills and artistry AND different styles to keep it interesting.

i agree… just because someone can execute the moves doesnt make them a great performer… its a whole package that theyre looking for… and narrowing down all those entries to 6 was hard work im sure..!

Well, picking the pros should have been easy. There were 14 eligible for the competition (the top 5 places from each comp so far, excluding Jenyne) and Faith Daniels is not going to enter because she is having shoulder surgery and will be off the pole for 8 – 14 months (she posted this on her facebook page). So if someone else dropped out for whatever reason, the remaining pros should be automatically accepted to compete. As to why they are waiting to notify the 6 amateurs, I’m assuming it was a difficult decision since they were picking half as many? Still no word heard here yet…..good luck to all that entered videos!

From the volume of videos, and pretty much all of them being great in their own way, im sure they ARE having a hard time narrowing it down to only 6…

This afternoon my boyfriend comes in from his soccer game and the sound of the door woke me. he came into the room while I was getting dressed and instead of kissing him or asking how the game was I bypass him and head right for the computer to check my email. hahaha he also can’t wait for me to hear back!
