AerialGypsy, are you sure to have double jointed hips? I used to feel as though my hip was locking and popping out for years. After a recent injury I was referred to a Physio and it turns out my hip flexor was getting caught on my pelvis. I would see a specialist and diagnose exactly what is wrong. If you have the same condition as me strengthening the hip flexors could actually make the pain more severe.

I went through a stage of being really tough on myself for not being able to do an iguana. Now I see it in vids and think it looks clumsy and ugly anyway. Very few people, mainly Jenyne make it look fab. Don’t think flatline looks that great either.

There are variations of Teddy that look fab and I think straight legged chair looks very elegant.

One handed carousel is probably my fave spin.

We call it the coil. I had been considering it recently, I’m not too sure anymore! Really surprised how popular they are in the US. Is this because of cost efficiency? The NHS pays for most contraceptives here so I don’t think cost is part of our decisions.

You need protein and calories to grow and women don’t really have enough testosterone or the genetics to get massive.

You’ll often hear men saying they’re on a bulk. This is the phase were they’re eating loads of protein and CALORIES to get big. They’ll then cut calories to lean out and show the muscles they’ve been feeding.

Don’t eat more than you need to and you’ll be fine with the shakes. They’ll fill you up and stop you snacking on crap too!

Visit a Physio as soon as possible. It was the best thing I ever did!

I’ve always wondered if its poss to drop from teddy into hip hold. I’m probably being a bit too imaginative!

  • My fella isn’t the sort to express those type of feelings so I really don’t know. I appreciate it must be hard for him when Im sore/ injured and don’t want to be touched. Or when I expect to have our dinner dates late so I can attend class first. I even told him I didn’t want to celebrate V-day because it was one of my training days.

He’s really into football though so were still reasonably balanced. He treats me the same way if there’s a big game on etc.

Does your man have any hobbies? Maybe he doesn’t know what it feels like to be so dedicated? How often does he see his friends?

I can’t find the actual music video on YouTube and the link above didn’t work.

Most of my opinions on it have already been discussed. I bet if it came on in a club though (one if the fun ones with a pole) and all the women were on it grinding thinking they’re the bomb, you would get up and dance to it and effing own them too!

If there was bleach under the black there’s no way you can lighten it. If you use peroxide it will just snap off. You’re going to have to grow it out and cut it off!

Lmao! I can’t believe we are in the same category as shake weights and toning trainers. What an idiot! We should write to him.

I don’t think filling the workshops will be an issue. I already know of 6 people who will definitely attend. I am looking into it because there’s demand. Is it possible the studio itself is insured? Absolutely ANYBODY can rent it. I’ve never signed any sort of liability form when using it.

I got questioned about pole in work recently. I played the hoop and silks card too! Fortunately I’m not too public as a dancer but I will definitely be using a stage name if I ever am.

Companies hire based on interviews and potential to perform. Unfortunately intelligent and perfectly capable people can be very lazy! They won’t nessescerily know a member of staff is lazy and underperfoming unless you tell them. If you don’t tell them this member will continue to underperform and continue to provide bad service to other customers. If you do complain the company has the opportunity and evidence to take appropriate action and replace with (hopefully) a better agent. Companies can’t fire people on a whim, they do need your help in order to develop and grow!

I work in customer service and think its a shame that x-pole are being slandered publicly and as a company.

Ranting online seems to be the “in” way to get things sorted these days but all it does it cause ill feeling.

If you have a complaint about a particular member of staff you should feed that back to x-pole so they can deal with it appropriately. How can they rectify an issue and improve their service if they are unaware of their teams poor performance?

Chem. I’ve sure I’ve seen a very similar twisty thing by Nadia Sharif. It’s in the routine where she’s like some zombie doll (don’t know how else to describe it) I think.

I’m on my phone so if I’m honest I couldn’t be bothered to read the whole thread, I honestly can’t see any serious damage being caused by the pole though.

The picture that was posted resembles my inner thighs after pole. I had stretch marks there as a teenager and they are now pretty invisible however they “flare up” after a pole session. They probably just become more visiable temporarily because the skin is so red and sore!

Rapid muscle gain and lack of certain vitamins can also cause stretch marks. I’ve gained some down the backs of my calves.

I had a little sob. Makes me appreciate how lucky I am to have a dad that supports me and pole.
