Wow, I am really excited so many people are on board – of course anyone can join whenever they want.
@ Black Rose: tell me about the booty clap DVD; is it good? Is it hard?
@ monary: hang in there!! I think you will feel great if you can do that dance for your husband.
Today I weighed myself: 161 lbs – goal weight 147…

Wait, wait…I have to change a few of these. I won't be able to do all my workouts before work, so I am just setting myself up for failure…I just will make sure I do upper body (pole and callesthenics) four times per week and for the next 28 days I am going Brazil Butt Lift, so that is pretty much lower body. Also, I will expand from 20 to 28 days to make it even.
I am going to keep a journal and just check in here 1x per week – I suppose on Fridays.

Good morning ladies! My 100-day goals are:
Be able to do:
10 pull-ups
5 chin-ups
front splits on both sides
Bracket hold and pole sit
Improve my center splits by half their distance,
Lose 16 pounds
But I am also going to set smaller goals. For example, for the next 20 days my goals will be to begin the splits in six weeks program, get 8 hours of sleep per night drink enoughf water (750 ml X 4 should be enought?) and do my workouts before I go to work, instead of after.
I can't wait to read everyone else's progress! Good luck everyone!

Am I counting correctly that the final day is 25 August?

What I do with a yeast infection is douche with tea tree oil in water, use vag suppositories for yeast infections and an anti-yeast infection supplement. All these things I have purchased at Whole Foods. If there isn't one around, I think the brand of suppositories is Femdophilus. I think this combination works WAY faster than diflucan, which I hate because it takes so freaking long.

Wow, she is pretty bad-ass. I can't believe she's not more famous!

Cool…so Friday, May 18 will be our start date….

I have nothing against shape wear, but this sounds a little too close to the corsets of 100+ years ago that could really do some damage. The article mentions organ shifting and the zipper forcing the air out of your lungs. For me, that is going way too far.

Question…what is a good way to make goals for pole improvement? Like, getting stronger or nailing a trick? Because everyone will progress differently, how do you set a time-line? Also, how often does everyone work on their pole?
-
Yes, of course!

Sounds very good; I will begin getting some attainable, concrete goals! I'm excited!

Thank you! There is a post where members sort of set their own rules initially and then just check in weekly with their progress. For me, it would probably consist of pole/flexibility progress, some weightloss (not a major concern for me but I would like to drop 15 lbs) and healthy living. For me, that would include mostly not drinking or smoking. If I'm not drinking, I pretty much eat very healthily – I tend to crave fruits and vegetables. Mostly workout stuff for me. I guess setting goals and then working on meeting them?

Wow, that was really inspiring and uplifiting…thank you for sharing! Also, when did DDP become a yoga instructor?!

Thank you, UTPoler!!! The misconception that you are going to get all huge is one of my biggest pet peeves. Also, I love Jamie Eason….

I am totally in! I will post pics tonight or tomorrow. My goals are all splits and the bridge. I can do the bridge now but I want it to be really tight and be able to put one leg up, just like Alethea Austin <3 <3!

For me, poling really starts out as a labor of love; it is awesome and super fun/inspiring, yet at the same time extremely discouraging and intimidating (dare I say depressing?).
Just keep trying and it will happen. The feeling that you get when you can finally do something is worth how hard it is. Oh, and I am NOT 5'2" and 110lbs!
