This was a little over 4 ft deep and the hole is mostly wider just under the top finished part. We used a trailer with already mixed stuff down the street… Was not much more expensive. We were done by 1300. With the hole mostly already dug

My brother in law has worked with concrete for years, he had the knowledge and tools so he just went to town . Still gave to finish it. Been wanting one for height for years!
-
It is cemented in very deep, will be cut to 12 ft above ground probably with some finish on it.

So excited , finally tomorrow I’m getting a pipe supplied by my Bro in law cemented in my back yard that will leave 12 feet ish above ground with about 5 ft in ground. So excited. Haven’t always trusted my indoor tension mounted poles and my ceilings are too short to do much climbing.

Working on an out door taller pole. Just gave to finish digging the hole. I have an in door pole, low ceilings and have issues with trusting my tension mounting poles.

I’ve been doing Muay Thai for a little over 2 years. Slow learner. Working towards a first fight by spring next year.

This is an update, with my husbands help we used one of the hex keys the pole came with and it worked! It was pretty easy.

MemberFebruary 12, 2013 at 6:51 pm in reply to: very sore forearm – not muscular – help 🙁I know this is an older discussion but I've had issues with my wrists, forearms, and sometimes near my elbows and fingers for several years when over using like typing or those pole moves that really work those areas
I cannot type on days I plan to pole. My grip becomes so weak. I wonder if I am doing illreversable harm and weakening. I do kickboxing (muay thai) too, you'd think from gloves, bag work, and holding pads for others that these parts would be strong already.
Anyone know about that?

I have had that before I think. I also get tired and weakend forarms and wrists, even from typing;(

I attempted to re make it static and the only part in contact with those bottom screws stayed. The rest of the pole up to the dome was able to keep turning and turning so I called tech support.
*the problem seems to be the "Vertical Screws" placed toward the bottom ( but are hard to see due to the flare out at the bottom of the 40 mm) – they've become loose. These are usually locked tight by the company pre ship.
-to fix this you will need a 3 mm hex tool ( not included) as these screws are different than the size we work with ourselves.
– The written directions per phone help is
1) If pole is up-take down.
2)unscrew height adjuster enough to see 2 vertical screws- (to be tightened).
3)may need to rotate bottom to reach the flat section. Tighten!
put up pole and test before use. If more problems to call back. The email support was no help. Asked for a pic of the problem and my invoice number ect! Said my explanation didn't make sence. Anyway gonna try it tonight! Fingers crossed!

I have hardly used my new brass xpert 40 mm. I screwed it to become static and it won’t! The screws move but the pole will still spin. Gotta call but this pole is so much more complex than my previous older top loading xpole.

I also have been poling off and on for 4 years. It can be inspiring to look at all the tutorials and videos online but also depressing at times. Pole is a love/ hate relationship at times and lack of progress or inability makes you think why can’t I . Be patient with yourself. My advice is to treat your hands and wrists well. Too much computer, or work that weakens and tires them will keep you away from practicing your more difficult things. Enjoy and look through the site for your questions along the way….so much valuable info. I myself have some people here I look up to, I really miss renaladybugs videos , watching her progress…. She has a strong will and is very strong.

Thanks guys and I was referring to the older x poles for my old pole, it was much more simple. Lol

my wrist pain worsens with even sllight computer use now and after too much pole. My Dr. gave me a wrist immobilizer brace for now inbetween exercise, pole.ect. It between my thumb and index finger and up to mid-upper forearm. Just got it today. Planning on using it when at home and some at work maybe,
we'll see

That’s great encouragement Lyme!

The warm up is an excellent point, I usually do less of one at home than at class and usually have a less successful practice.
-
I’m glad this was brought up, I want a smaller pole but haven’t tried one yet.

Congrats Rena!!! Been missing ya!

I am recovering right now. I had surgery 3 months ago. breast lift with implant and tummy tuck. I had trouble squeezing my arms together or lifting myself up for awhile. I hadn't pole in a while but was kickboxing and in my best shape pre surgery. I am just about to consider going back. I have a pole and am interested in practicing some spins at home and practice inverting before even going back. I've lost a lot of strength post op. I will be lifting some weights and start kickboxing before classes..or at least practicing at home. The implants just softened and started feeling normal a little after 2 months. I would NOT have gone back before that UNLESS I was just maybe doing floor work and dancing around the pole.
