Hi all,
I just did my first six week stretch sesh after a jog and i’m already having a problem!
When i go into jazz splits my knee feels really under pressure (I’m knock kneed) and it’s making me hold off a little on the stretch, would a knee support helo with this? -
Thank you everyone for your replies! I'm a little confused now as to whether to stretch every day or every other day! But I guess it's just whatever works for you imparticular.
The main message I'm taking from all your replies is DONT GIVE UP! Haha. Which is probably the boot in the deriere I needed tbh!
Starting today I will try my best to follow the six weeks programme to the letter (exams and dissertation dedlines withstanding) and see if I can get my BF to take photos to track my progress.

I can't make it to London till after the 20th May as my Degree finishes on that day. Having another choice of date would be great. Also LAPHQ looks AMAZING.

I'm bottom heavy myself and working my upper body really helps. =)

My wonderful boyfriend taught me a lot about this, he made me realise that you should be your own biggest fan. Who cares if other people think you're vain? That's their problem. Look at all the things you have achieved, all the things you have gotten through and stand tall.
If you don't love yourself, why should anyone else love you? You are as worthy as anyone else on the planet. =)

implants are tougher than you might think!
I don’t feel that pressure from a climb would be at all likely to damage a fully healed implant. Do wear a good sports bra for practice though.
I think you do need to wait a little longer than just letting the wound heal though.
It’s a shock to your body having the implants placed and definately will affect your strength for a while.
I am also a member on a plastic surgery forum and a lot of gals on there pole. Most took a couple of months off.
If you invest that much money in boobies you want to look after them! 🙂

I started poling after i got my new boobs but at the time i had them i was running every day and doing heavy weightlifting every other day.
It took me 3 months to feel fully ready for lifting weights again and i had lost a lot of upper body strength from it as i had partial unders. I’m still rebuilding the strength now, but i would reccomend at least 10 weeks before trying any heavy spins and climbs etc, however, listen to your body, it knows best. -

I’ve looked at some martial arts flex dvds but not sure. -
I’m in love with Lu Nagata, she melds a lot of chinese dance, belly dance and martial arts movement into her performances. I do chinese dance and i really would love to be able to dance like her one day.
I’m also in awe of quite a few people on here too! -
i might join you with the pushups, i do a 9 min mile but i need to work on strength. Keep us updated!

Another fun thing which could help with motivation is poling with a friend! I love, love, love company for poling. Maybe even if you have a friend who would like a go but never has you can show her a few spins.
Seeing other people discover the joy of pole always helps remind you how much fun it can be!

I didn't invert for aaaages, don't worry lovely, you'll come along, I've just strained myu tendon in my right wrist slightly, so I'm taking it very easy and being forced to do all left hand work!#
