We all come to pole from different places. You don’t have to BE anything to love pole, and you love pole! So that means you ARE built to pole 🙂

I started in 7 inchers and love them. I’m only 5’2″ so I feel like a big girl in them lol

HellOnHeelsNH, I’ve been doing superman for about 6 months now, its nit a new trick fir me. This time I got into it from the ground, and thank God I did. If I fell from the top of the pole I prob would have been seriously hurt!

I have been suffering from the same thing for a couple of months. Rest is the best for tendinitis but I have continued to lift weights and pole through it. I am careful not to overdue it and on the days that it flairs up I listen to my body, ice it and rest!

My pet/street would be Lady Kennedy (kind of sounds like a madam!)

Already started working on Kenneth Kao’s signature shoulder flip today!

I pole around 3 hrs a week, lift and do cardio 4-5 days a week and stretch before and after each workout.

This is my first year poling and it has been filled with triumphs and bruises…oh so many bruises! But it has been amazing! I’m looking to compete in the year to come. Wishing you much joy and happiness from your poling experiences 🙂

I, too, am a fitness instructor and I definitely choreograph routines in my head that are WAY past my skill level! I envision this lovely, fluid, dancer like routine with amazing tricks that I’m just not ready to master. But I always dance to the song freestyle, using moves I’ve mastered and attempting versions of what I picture in my head. Sometimes it’s great and sometimes not so great, but it’s helping me learn how my body moves. Give it a shot; what have you got to lose?

With that said, when I started pole dancing I immediately went for the 7 inch heels! I just love them; they make me feel sooo sexy! I practice my tricks barefoot then break out the big heels once I’ve mastered them.

I have not fallen during a performance but did fall on my neck (I tucked my head) doing a jade split at home…alone. I was afraid for a while, but I kept going. I don’t think anyone will judge you…we all fall. I’m sure everyone is just glad your ok!

I weight train, do cardio and yoga; all of which help with pole!

I’ve been bodybuilding for almost 20 years. I started poling a year ago and have found that I no longer need to train arms; the pole does that for me 🙂

Please do post dance videos. I can do tricks but can’t dance well and love to watch and learn from real dancers!

I tended bar in the mid 90’s at a club and December by Collective Soul was pretty over used!

Good for you putting yourself out there! I was talked into performing in a showcase with VERY little pole experience and it was the most empowering thing I’ve ever done. Even though I made mistakes, everyone was so supportive. Please post to let us all know how it went and best of luck 😀
