You can see that its super tight, as the floor is compressed severly. What happens when you loosen off some tension?

    Hi everyone!

Yes this is a genuine X-POLE sport 45mm chrome. Its just in a fancy box 😉

  • Oh well, my hopes of being paid for doing a back hook are dashed ( its the most advanced thing i can do lol).. I went on that site too but there is nothing there. Its all a bit iffy . I

  • I agree with the safety … Priority numero uno! I had a question about the vid.. Someone said Felix & her manager gets paid to be a PS girl..Is this true?? Does anyone actually know ( defo not just guessing 😉 ) Do people acutally get paid to do this? If so, where do i sign, lol?!

  • I was really enjoying it!! But then one of the demonstrators said something which was untrue… Thats kind of where they lost objectivity! Im not actually sure any vidoe is 100% bias free, as i dont think this is possible for anyone. I havent tried PS stage but it would be awesome to, so i can make up my own mind but we dont have PS here. Ive tried the stage lite & it was good, takes about 10 mins to assemble, took a lot of getting use to a non fixed pole but youd get that with either brand..PS & XPOLE should send all of us a stage so we can all do a "real" comparison lol!

Hi Moxie, thanks for the reply 🙂 Even though they are competing, it looks clear that they were trying to play the made in USA card. They could have just said, no, the poles are different so they wont mix together. It just doesnt sound nice, ya know? If i want fact about a product, i want the facts.. not negative spin on the competitor.

On a much more positive note, i hope you get your pole & your mount up soon 🙂

    Haha, i had to have a chuckle at the statement;

"they didn't know if it would work because x-pole's parts are made in China while theirs are made in the US".

Well clap, clap Platinum Stages!!!  What a joke! Glad we dont have Platinum Stages in Australia, as id hate to think that the advice they give is all a sales pitch against another pole company- not whats best for me/ the customer!

Id love to hear Platinum Stages explanation for this statement. Who did you speak with Moxie?

I'm no expert but water & metal sounds like a bad idea. I know meth is supposed to be water soluble but do any chemistry buffs out there (in SV land ) know for sure? When i used water & meth ( 90 /10 mix) the pole became so slippery!!

Then when i stopped using water , it was like magic 🙂 Haven't had any damage to the pole but would be a good idea to know lol! Thank you 🙂

Ok, ill have to pipe up here. I bought one of these from an adult shop. I didnt realise that you had to screw it intot he ceiling. The base is super flimsy,  so i wouldnt go near it again. Plus, its made by some dildo  company,  which i doubt has any idea about poles ( well, the dancing kind) http://www.pipedreamproducts.com/showdetail-20b2.php?Full_Number=PD3879-00

I agree with the veeners, even when on a budget – safety first! Lil Mynx, Xpole, Platnium are all good brands and Veenars are often trading up and selling their old ones on. Good luck!!

Actually ps made a rectangular stage..then XPOLE made a round stage & stage lite.. then you made a round stage lite/ star stand alone. So PS may have created the first stage but it certainly didnt mind using the enigineering of another company, needless to say i dont think PS sets the standard for the portable pole … Call it what you like, coupler or adjuster cover or whatever else.. it isnt brass.. nor should it be brass… unless we want this to happen

I have to laugh at all this hoopla about genuine metals from people who have no idea about what it takes to engineer something that even your 200kg nana can hop on – yet is has to be löight enough for you to take up & down all the time!!!

XPOLE brass is as geniune ( or as fake ) as Platinum Stages. brass.. They are both brass , of different compisition.. You may not enjoy the brass used by XPOLE or Platinum… This doesnt mean its not real brass.. Here is a list of metal ( found on the web) I doubt it will change your mind about Xpoles use of 'FAKE BRASS' but at least you can appear somewhat educated. Brass types

Admiralty brass contains 30% zinc and 1% tin which inhibits dezincification in most environments.

Alpha brasses (Prince's metal), with less than 35% zinc, are malleable, can be worked cold, and are used in pressing, forging, or similar applications. They contain only one phase, with face-centered cubic crystal structure.

Alpha-beta brass (Muntz metal), also called duplex brass, is 35-45% zinc and is suited for hot working. It contains both α and β' phase; the β'-phase is body-centered cubic and is harder and stronger than α. Alpha-beta brasses are usually worked hot.

Aluminium brass contains aluminium, which improves its corrosion resistance. Used in Euro coins (Nordic gold).

Arsenical brass contains an addition of arsenic and frequently aluminium and is used for boiler fireboxes.

Beta brasses, with 45-50% zinc content, can only be worked hot, and are harder, stronger, and suitable for casting.

Cartridge brass is a 30% zinc brass with good cold working properties.

Common brass, or rivet brass, is a 37% zinc brass, cheap and standard for cold working.

DZR brass is Dezincification resistant Brass with a small percentage of Arsenic.

Gilding metal is the softest type of brass commonly available. An alloy of 95% copper and 5% zinc, gilding metal is typically used for ammunition components.

High brass, contains 65% copper and 35% zinc, has a high tensile strength and is used for springs, screws, rivets.

Leaded brass is an alpha-beta brass with an addition of lead. It has excellent machinability.

Low brass is a copper-zinc alloy containing 20% zinc with a light golden color, excellent ductility and is used for flexible metal hoses and metal bellows.

Naval brass, similar to admiralty brass, is a 40% zinc brass and 1% tin.

Red brass, while not technically brass, is an American term for CuZnSn alloy known as gunmetal.

Rich low brass contains 85% copper 15% zinc often used in jewelry applications .

White brass contains more than 50% zinc and is too brittle for general use.

Yellow brass is an American term for 33% zinc brass.

    Hi!

You should measure the area ( height) of the space, thats the only way to figure out which extension to use 😉

Just saw it, the nubbins are a great idea!! But, i dont think your pole is straight ( the top leans to the right). Id love, love, love a 1 piece pole, but dont own my place ( so moving with a 9ft pole would be a pain)… unless, you can get extensions for it, as in on top of the pole??? Can you??

Hi, I have an Xpert pole ( the xjoity one), so not sure if this is the same on you have?

A girlfirend taught ,me this. so i hope it works for you too 🙂

There are little grooves that the hex screws need to sit inside to be 100%static. To get the hex screws in there, align the 'x' with the static screw things.

Then as i turn the hex key i slightly move the pole ( I mean very very slightly) side to side, so the hex screw sits 100% in these static & spinning groove… Umm, hope that makes sense 🙂

@JeHanne, i hope its still safe, cos i still use 😛 It works fine, just rotates in & out a bit but totally stable – touch wood! hehe. I did see your link & i think just let them know, if they helped out before, they might again? If you ask no question, then you get no answer- know what i mean?

I read that the 'bubble' joint is from too much tightening?  Kind of like putting a car jack inside the pole horizontally & winding & winding it, unti the force is too much? It makes sense but i think i get so nervous about it being too loose, that i do it any way 😛 Letus know how you go!

I couldnt see the video 🙁 … Yeah, a pole is an expensive toy, so you wnat it to last.. but its also just metal lol!! Ive had it happen before too, after 2 years, but only cos i constantly launched myself at it ( im 100kgs, so thats no small force 😛 )
