But I watch Veena, Penny, and lots of others on here and they are good!:-)

I think when we have built the muscle and flex needed for the smooth lifts, etc then we start to look good , however it really is hard to look at yourself as being good because we are always striving to get better and better and we are our own worse critiques, when people say to me you are so good it still does not compute!

I am 5ft 11 I have never thought that much about my height posing problems with moves it quite possibly is why I have difficulty with some things however I believe we can look very graceful when dancing! Wether short, tall, skinny , larger we all have things that are hard to do!:-)

Poletrickster, make sure you are eating enough carbohydrate that’s where we get our energy from, sometimes we focus on eating mainly protein for muscle build but that won’t supply the energy you need!:-)

Lots of good advice here! I find that making sure to really stretch out and a soak in Epsom salts bath and sometimes s bit of heat rub works wonders! I would stay away from the pain killers it is generally muscle soreness from lactic acid build up which means you need to make sure you spend more time in your cool down and stretching!:-)

I also have the brushed brass x pole! If my skin is dry I slip. really helps with that! And making sure my skin is well moisturised a day before I pole.
-
I use itac 4 at times but also find I need to put a touch of dry hands on top to stop the slip ! I prefer it to itac 2.
-
I have the 40mm brass x pole I am 5 ft 11, I also have the 45mm TG , I love the 40mm , I also love the 45, most studios in Australia have 38mm , I’m very happy with mine:-)

I have itac level 2 and 4, mighty grip , dry hands, and tight grip all on hand each one works at different times depending on my skin the weather and the pole,! Sometimes I do not need any thing, sometimes i need to mix them, and other times nothing at all works including using nothing! Those are the really good strength building days ! Though frustrating!

I have lost advanced plank, very weird I stopped putting it into my routines for awhile now I just don’t seem to be able to do it.

Pole has helped me keep my sanity and work off my stress, during the past 2 years my eldest daughter has had many problems with addiction to both prescription medication and non prescription medication, never knowing What state I will find her along with my 3 beautiful grandchildren , there have been incidents of child neglect , leaving 2 month old baby in car not knowing where she was( I found her) almost unconscious , to getting the typical verbal abuse along with pathological lying that an addict does, being abused publicly on FB and accysed if being the parent from hell that has caused all this !!finding my daughter unconscious with her 3 children fending for themselves having to report her to the appropriate agencies to make sure my grandchildren were going to be looked after, dealing with the guild that somehow I must be a really bad mother and trying to figure out what it was that I must have done wrong along the way! And yes She is still battling this problem !! pole has been my SAVIOUR!

I agree with webmaster if you have Veenas lessons there is no need for others DVD, however i do have Valentino stretch DVD and they make a nice change as i get sick of the same routine quickly, they use a stop watch which goes off so you know when to change and their explanation is very good, i also have Altheas and have found her cues not as good however i believe the most advancement has come from Veenas and Altheas stretch routine.:)

Listen to your body, it is very good at telling us when we need to stop or slow down, So take heed the stretching can wait for a couple of days you will not loose what you have gained .:-)

It’s the best feeling in the world to be up there like you are flying, having the strength to pull up into those inverts m, to be able to GO hang upside down on the playground with your grandkids or kids, to recieve compliments about how good your body looks for an almost 50 year old! Oh and the thrill in showing off those pole moves! Yes it has been worth every bruise every piece of skin ripped off,Every callouse, every ache and pain!

I do the P90X2 workouts along with flexibility!

I have P90X2 and do not find it boring at all, I’m not sure what P90X is like though, I also have insanity and I dont really enjoy that ! I guess we have a different opinion! 🙂

I know someone that has been hosting couch surfers in Australia for years and they have never had any problems so long as you check references it should be ok! If you were coming to Adelaide I could find you a bed , we are unfortunate to not have studios like Sydney have!
