Thank you for your reply Laamhaim! I actually own a brass pole in which I’ve been working this past year. It works for me because it grips better and because I’m allergic to the other metals.

So now, I was planning to buy something “a bit” more portable for photo shoots and to have outside in the summer. Since I already have a metal pole, and because I would adore to pole with more clothes on, I was thinking of getting this xpole stage lite in silicone. But I wanted to check what fellow polers think after trying it for long 🙂

Hello! I am about to become complete nuts and buy an xpole lite silicone! 🙂 First I was thinking of an rpole due to easy mount/dismount/transportation, but it’s way too expensive. Also, I use to sweat a lot and I tend to fight people’s idea of: pole dance=almost naked prejudice, and this pole is perfect for dancing with clothes.
Are you all still happy with the silicone pole?
    Does the material last?
Can you pole with leggings or jeans? Is it really that painful to dance with shorts?
Can you still use grip aids without ruining the material?
Also, is it easy to mount and dismount it? I like the idea of taking it to the mountains to just train or photoshoot 🙂

Thank you so much in advance for your guidance, I really trust in you…

    Thank you all!!!

    Hello girls!
I’m very surprised to see so many of us having the same problem. I’m also right handed and I do all my inverts on my right arm (I know…bad me!). But this rhomboid pain on ALWAYS on my left side, and it hurts when I use my RIGHT arm. This is a recurring pain, it uses to disappear for weeks, but it always comes back from a bad, I assume, invert, and I have to stop poling for weeks 🙁

Now I’m wondering whether I should invert on my left side as well to make it stronger…I wish I knew what to do to stop this, because it’s slowing my progress down, and I’m so puzzled and desperate now knowing who to ask 🙁

It looks amazing! I didn’t know it. I think it is perfect for carrying it around for photoshootings, I could actually take pictures in the mountains. Considering it now…thank you for tip! 🙂

I’ve seen many, many videos and dancers, but I ADORE and I’m absolutely in LOVE with Natalia Tataritseva. She is so smooth, strong, feminine and artistic it’s just unbelievable. You can totally tell she was a rhythm gymnast’s champion many times, her moves are so perfect.
I just don’t understand why isn’t she famous, for me it’s the best pole dancer I’ve ever seen. It would be a dream to become like her one day, although I’m absolutely conscious that will never ever happen!

I agree with Phoenix that Tite Grip is amazing. For me it works better than dry hands as I still sweat and slide with it.
But I’ve never tried the combination Phoenix recommended, will do it on my next pole class 🙂

What you feel is completely normal.

Now that I think about it, I had SO much pain when trying the pole sit, it felt much just as you described. Also the first time I tried to hold on with my legs after a pole climb. I felt I was dying!

But suddenly, some classes later, bang! It disappeared!!! It was crazy how it just suddenly went away! It also happened when trying the superman, one day I didn’t feel any pain.

So just take it easy because it is completely normal and the more you try, the quickest it will go away.

I’m actually more concerned about the lack of strength which doesn’t seem to increase on me after 7 months….but pain certainly goes, don’t worry 🙂

    Hi Louise,

Yes, I’ve heard that’s a common problem with students! In my case, I did this only a couple of times, so I think the problem was lifting myself.

Finally, after one month of rest and physio, I’m back to pole with simple positions and spins. I’m terrified of even trying inverts again! I will wait until my wedding is over and then I’ll get Veena’s lessons 🙂

    Thank you for your help!!

Thank you SO much to all of your for your Messages and advises, you are wonderful Girls!!!

The pain in my ribs have ceased a bit, but I still have strong pain in my back. I went to a physio today, and she told me I have very hard muscles on my back, so apparently, there’s nothing broken.

I think I had the wrong technique when inverting, I was not engaging my right parts, and I was doing all the strength with my back, I guess it’s not secret why I hurt myself….

The Problem is that during my pole classes, I was advanced to the intermediate level too fast (around my 4th class) and I’m naturally so anxious I always Need to be a bit ahead. And here I am! 🙂

Right now, as you say, I will rest and Keep on going to the physio. And watching your Videos and wishing I was able to touch my pole again…buaaah! 🙁

Thank you so much for your great advices Girls…it is very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your useful advises!!

I totally understand what you mean about pain in your ribs, I also have pain in my ribs, but in front just under my boob. I even thought I had broken a rib or something!

I intended to get Veena’s classes, but in my condition, I cannot even do spins without pain starting to kill me again…

I will wait a bit longer until the pain leaves and I will try to postpone any invert until I feel I’m completely ready and strong enough.

Thank you so much for your help!
