Chemgoddess1—Love that "take it to the floor". Yeah, I'm not a 8/10. Went from a 14/16 to 10/12. But the arms are tighter in my clothing than when I was a 14/16. BTW, 8/10 is my goal.

Yeah, I still have to chime in and say….I still dislike the bigger arms. I have gone down two dress sizes and yet my arms are larger than when I started…much more muscular but larger. 🙁

You grab a door handle while exiting a room and think "Wow, this is grippy…what this material? And you are at work."

Powertwirl-I'm interested in an additional pole, and I might make you a counter offer though depending on the condition of the pole. What kind of condition is it in?

Hello Jolene! Great job thus far…. As you said focusing on the scale cam be quite discouraging. I too am back on a weight loss and healthy living journey. I agree with ChemGoddess, try eating lots of vegetables and ffruits. And don't lay down on your food. I would say within 3 hours. Also, you could be developing leg muscles. Most importantly, 199 within 4 weeks is a 14 pound loss…..seems overly ambitious. Yet it is doable but not healthily. I don't want you to be disappointed. 2 pounds per week would be an 8 pound loss and you would be at 205 reaching 199 only a little over two weeks later. I wish you the best!

Dancer Ella, those are pole crash mats. They catch you if you fall and cushioning. It is a bit different that flooring but very necessary (I don't have one yet) if you are doing inverts and the more advanced moves.

Organic Angel, what size is the green sequin monokini and what country are you in?

Looking at the video it looks like you were doing a side spin kinda….not really a front hook. But I'm not sure what was intended. In the last version it looks like a combo of side hook into a front hook…..odd. What day did you go on that no one else would be at the studio and in a class?

Thank you so much Tigger. I will check it out.

Hello Tiggertail! For us newbies what is the website address?

Thank you so much. I will try now vial iPhone.

Thank you all for the responses. I guess I just have poler arms and I do love the tone that is occurring. I’ll keep working and defining.

That is the experience that I am having thus far too Jen. Tommy boy…that is funny. I too think it is worth it.

Thank you Crystabel, that article helps me to understand better. I will keep piling and exercising otherwise which will burn off this fat. Got it!!! That makes sense.

Yes, Chem that is true. For me it is obviously more than that weight and yeah, my body is genetically coded for large muscular arms, I guess. I like the cuts that are coming in them though. If I can get rid of the chicken wings, then I'll be fine—I guess. I just don't want to get new clothes or have to start getting size 10 pants and 12 tops–especially since the boobies are bigger too……(shaking my head).

Jessilee, yes, I thought that might be the problem. I already kickbox once a week but maybe I will add another class. I was thinking some cardio might help….melt it away theory.

XxMy, you are absolutely the pole stars and SV polers look great….agreed. And you do not have giant arms…well toned, nice muscular arms yes. Your arms look amazing. But these things I have are giant…..:) Not beautiful….probably some of that coaching big woman psychological stuff going in my head. However, don't get it twisted I am not going to quit poling…I love it way too much but I was hoping there was some cure for it. It will fall into some place overtime, I am sure. I'll just keep at it and see where it goes…….

So Chemgoddess1, are you saying that doing the low weights is not going to make a difference at this point. I do the SV lessons on strengthening and then I go to the sudio and do the kick butt conditioning with a wonderful instructor. I can do a body weight lift about 4 inches off the ground now and we practice this alot, along with the tucks and climbs during the aerobic parts of the class. And if it doesn't get the better through low weight/high rep will the fat at least burn off at some point? 🙂
-
Thanks Sasha…..I like muscles too. I just don't like the arms to be big with muscles. I'd like small and muscular but realistically, the best I will do is medium and muscular. I will start doing the low weights, high reps. And if it doesn't work, then I'll have to get used to big, muscular arms, I guess.

Also you can do planks without the pole because they help a lot too. You must also have strong abs so work on your abs.

Hello Shanz15,
I am doing the 30 day lessons and Studioveena has great lessons for builiding strength. I am very new also as I just started poling on December 29 but I have found that her lessons are great. The pole holds, pole squats and many others. The lessons are in order of difficulty and they really work. It is so worth the money.
