I have no comment on performance costumes but I did watch Veronica Solimano's performance and that was so awesome! That is such unique style with strength and gymnastics. Very impressive and the outfit was cute too!

Thank you for sharing. Do you have before and after pics? That is awesome. So how did you build your strength?

Jag, how long did it take you to lose the 30 pounds?

I am almost a complete newbie so I have little advice but I can say it does get easier. I had the same problem. The first few times hurt but were tolerable. Then I became extra sensitive there and it almost made me cry to try a pole sit. I just kept at it and now most of the time, if I get the sweet spot, it is tolerable. I still have trouble with laybacks and that is hindering my cross knee and cross ankle releases. I know those will get better too.
As far as the 21 times Koidragon, it's probably because after 21 times it becomes something the skin can say is a "habit". It takes 21 times for something to become a habit. It worked for me in letting go of chocolate (for awhile), I didn't eat it for 21 days in a row and I was in the habit of not eating chocolate. I lost it after six months but I might try it again soon.
I have extreme sensitivity in the front of the shin though apparently. I have the strength for a side climb but I can't put enough pressure on my lower leg to remove the weight from the knee hold. It is soooo painful. Does this go away too?

I have taken a few days off and they feel better. Thank you so much for your advice.

I am having this problem in both hips within the last week and it only started after working out for about 6 months. I hope that it is sign of something getting stronger and that I need to strengthen the opposite muscle. 🙁

I don't think she was doing the basic fan kick though because they kept calling it the cradle fan kick. Nevertheless, it was interesting to watch her struggle in attempt to do it. There is so much strength required with pole that if it does emphasize anything else, it does emphasize strength and weaknesses. That is what I love about this particular sport–sexy and strong=beautiful!

Very nice routine Organic Angel. I am glad to see that you pulled it together and enjoyed yourself on the pole. Great job!!!

But, Charley I think you are right we can't expect to see what we know as pole on network tv anytime soon. It did look hard and impressive to the general public and the fact that he said he wanted to showcase her strength by using the pole was great!!

I think the best thing this performance did was to help to see pole fitness as a form of dance and as a form of fitness.

After I watched it again, I get the climb is not the best display but I love the syncronization and we do have to consider that there was dancing before and after. I did like the performance.
Charley which transitions are you referring to? And Chemgoddess1, you are right. The training poles were x-poles. And the media sucks!!
I thought that Wynona's display on the pole did more damage than good quite honestly. I was not impressed not because of lack of skill but the genre of display. Just my humble opinion, of course.

She did a pole climb, some sort of spread v, a descend and a few fan kicks with some great dancing. However, I have to admit I was expecting more from the pole display….but I that must simply mean that you ladies set a very high standard with all the tricks and inverts that I see on here.

I wear size 9 regularly but had to get a size 10. The 10's are even a little snug. I'd suggest one size higher.

Veena's lessons are awesome. I take a pole conditioning class at a studio every Sunday and Tuesday with a very touch instructor. Yet Veena's conditioning still kicks my butt. This says a lot about her expectations and understanding of the body mechanics. The 30 day challenge is by far the way to go and can be done in conjunction with other exercises, especially straight cardio,.
