When it comes to getting a pole I have been doing a lot of research, but can’t seem to decide on which one of these 3 to get: X-Pole – Chrome, PS One Piece Super Pole – Brass or a Hardcore Pole, Removable Spinner – Brass. I am going to post in the Dance Pole forum too about which one is most recommended, but thought I would mention it here, too.
Unfortunately, you kinda just have to decide from the research you do. X-Pole, Platinum Stages and Lil Mynx are the three top companies. I decided on a stainless steel lil mynx because I wanted a one piece pole. This online studio prefers the X-Pole and she sells it here too. Other sites you might find the majority leaning towards one of the other good poles. Sadly, there is no where you can go to test all three. I’ve tried all three poles and I like the stainless steel finish the most but thats just my opinion. Other people prefer the chrome because its a middle man. Its a hard decision but it comes down to what you think you’ll like.

I know how everyone feels. Thats why I asked for a refund two weeks ago directly from the company. She refunded it through paypal and it says its been completed, but I’m still waiting for it to hit my bank account.

Ooo! I can help you with this one! I’ve been teaching myself how to do an elbow stand from the wall. Just keep practicing and you will get more balance. Its like learning how to balance yourself when you stand but you are upside down. I practice against a wall. My fists are about an inch away from the wall. You might hit the wall a little when you first start but your body has to learn somehow. I still have this phobia with handstands against the wall but I’m getting better.
For the elbow stand, I kick up so I’m against the wall. Then I slowly move my torso and butt away from the wall (if its against the wall). Then I move my feet away. At first when I didn’t have any upside down balance, I didn’t get too far. But last night I could hold myself in an elbow stand right next to the wall but not touching the wall for 15 seconds. Thats a lot! I’m not an instructor of any sort so take it for what its worth. At first I couldn’t even go upside down for too long because I was using my head too much. Now I remember to engage my whole arm and my abs. I use my arms to hold my head up so its touching the floor but now pressing against it (hench it was hurting my head) and for some reason, when I thought about engaging my abs, it helped a lot to hold my legs straight above. Hope this helps and I didn’t bore you! Feel free to share your progess!

I’ve seen this one before but it is a great one, I’ll agree. I just watched it again!

Everyone is different with this. When I started last fall, I was a highly private person with this. I would only let my husband see me poling if I had the spin down pat. The amazing thing for me is that poling gave me so much confidence that I started practicing while he was around the house and now he helps spot me when I’m trying new inverted moves. I want to re-iterate that everyone is different and some people said that they still don’t practice in front of their man, but I wanted to share my story as well.

Jenn, Jen_P, Untamedscrew, and karebear were there. There might be others on Studioveena that were there too but those are the few others I can think of.

I got a response pretty quick about it. Their first duplication house had technical difficulties so they decided to change to a different one, and re-run the whole mass order. They should start receiving DVD’s to distribute by next week.
I got a response pretty quickly too, and I was told the same thing about the duplication house and "we’ll be shipping out DVDs next week." My "next week" was two weeks ago. Like I mentioned, I understand that companies run into problems, but tell the customers. Don’t make the customer sit and wonder where the order is. We are all still sitting and waiting for a DVD when we don’t actually have an updated time frame. It is just frustrating. If I don’t get my DVD within the next few weeks, I am going to ask for a full refund.

Has anyone else received theirs yet? I placed my order on 7/7 and have not received it yet. I was really excited about it, but can’t get a response back regarding the order. I was thinking maybe it was on back order or something. It read 4-6 weeks and I am heading into week 8 https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I ordered mine within a few days of you. I wrote that I wanted a full refund because it had been over six weeks and Shawn wrote me back saying that they had a problem with the distribution house and they had to do the whole order again. That was two weeks ago. If I don’t get it this week, I will be emailing again. I understand that sometimes you run into problems but it would be nice if we were kept updated on our order like any other respecting company.

My guess is that its going to be about the same because your brass is used with only you on it and at the club, there will be multiple people on it; stainless steel warms up quickly and I think you’ll notice that its grippy at the club.

Is your pole stainless steel? How long have they had theirs?? The reason why I ask is that stainless steel has to be broken in…the more you use it, the grippier it should get.
I’ll agree with this, also I’ll agree with the temperature of the room making a difference, having to warm it up, and making note that the lil mynx stainless steel is polished not matted like the Platinum stages stainless steel. Through all of these cons, it has many pros still for me and I love my lil mynx!

I don’t think the camera liked the colored lights! Awesome spin to butterfly!
