I had my first one last week when I was dismounting from an invert. I was mortified because I was webcaming with a friend to show my progress. Luckily at that time, my dogs were in the room and heard something else outside so they were barking already so that kind of muffled the noise. I hope my friend didn't notice because I didn't say anything after that LOL. Great thread and thanks everyone for sharing your stories.

I have the new 50mm TG xpert for 5 months now and so far nothing has happened to it. No fading and no problems with the x-joints. I really took my time installing it and watched the videos and followed the instructions carefully. My friend and I use my pole simulataneously two times a week and then I practice it on it through out the week and haven't had any problems. I had to get an extension for my pole because my ceiling is 9ft and 2inches and their customer service was super friendly and they were fast shipping it. It's sturdy and I love my pole. I hope that helps.

I'll be getting back from vacation in Thailand the week that the event is held. Maybe next year it will work out and I can attend. Gives me another reason to come home besides seeing friends and family. Good luck to everyone who competes!

You should try etsy.com a lot of the shop owners are willing to accommodate any request you have. Most of the shop owners have everything custom made to order. I love that site and it's affordable and have purchased jewelry to even pole dancing shorts!

I live in Morgan Hill but I work in SJ. I could come by and pick it up anytime if it's available. I actually have a pole buddy who wants an x-pole and I can ask if she wants to get yours. Thanks!

I'm Hookedonpole's friend that she mentioned in her post. I tried to click on the link but it says it expired. Do you still have that mat? I'm in need of one. Thanks!

I didn't think about using bean bag chairs in place of the mats and that's definitely more affordable! I checked out the mats that Scandalious recommended but it's so pricey. I wonder why crash mats are almost as much in price as a pole? Might as well get another pole haha j/k. After reading everyone's suggestions I'm definitely not going to wear heels. If I'm going to invest in a mat, then I'd rather not risk having the heel tear holes in the mat or twist my ankle! Thanks again everyone.

Hi Kobajo, Hookedonpole and Chem! Thank you so much for posting. I won't be wearing heels at all now when I get a crash mat hehe. I'll look into the Lil' Mynx crash mats. One of the sites that I read claimed that the mat was durable enough to use heels on so that's where I got that idea. The link from Pole Skivvies was really interesting. She brought up a lot of good questions. Looking up information on crash mats can be very overwhelming so I appreciate all of the feedback. Thank you again and happy poling!

I have pink real hair extensions that are individual pieces by Hairlocs. I get them put in at my hair salon. They are tiny microbeads instead of using glue or whatever else to bond to the hair which doesn't damage your hair at all. I like having color hair extensions for fun in the summertime. I switch it up and get purple too. These extensions don't fade and you can keep re-using them if you take good care of them. It does get expensive though. My salon sells them at $10 a piece. I'll take a picture of my hair soon and post it. I hope this helps.
