Doterra!! Highest grade. I love them and some of them you can ingest but check the label first. Here’s some info below that I think will help:

    Hi Paulette,

I am actually studying for ACE right now.  If you need a study buddy or to help motivate, then message me.  It is very overwhelming but I really like learning all of this stuff.

Oh how I love the pretty Allegra trick! When I do this move I get a huge bruise on my inner thigh and waist (short torso as well) for almost a week. It makes poling harder because the bruises are so tender and you don't wanna add a new bruise on top of an existing one. I don't do this move often because it's not worth it.  So if ANY move is too painful on either side, then the smart thing to do is not do the move at all.  Wishing you a quick recovery AriesWolf! <3

I would try to use a foam roller to get all the pain/knots out until you can get an appointment with the doctor. I use a nubby foam roller called "Rumble Roller" and it does wonders. It looks really scary and intimidating. Looks like an s&m sexual torture device haha. It's painful at first but then it becomes a good pain when you get used to it.  I got mine from Amazon. Pricey but worth every penny.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Oh no some of the stuff I was writing in my last post must have gotten deleted somehow. The hotel has horrible wifi connection. We had to bum wifi off Bel because she brought her portable wifi. I had the laptop idling for awhile while waiting for the connection to reconnect and I was still typing in info and I guess maybe the new stuff I wrote didn’t take when I hit submit or something. I’m not sure what happened. Anyways, I wrote at the end of my Jamilla blurb that hookedonpole and Bel were in the back seat with us. It couldn’t have happened without Bel. Hooked brought my post it to my attention and I’m glad she did so I can reedit this. I swear on my life I put that in. Sorry girl!

I'll upload pics when I can.  But it's pretty fun here. I'm not trying to rub it in for those who couldn't go but you ASKED for updates!!  So far the pole-ebrities that I have met are Pantera, Felix Cane, Jenyne, Steven Retchless, Zoraya, Jamilla, Marlo and the list goes on.

I met fellow Veeners such as Lulu, Joel and Simora just to name a few.

The vendors have really awesome things but I didn't have much time to check it all out because by the time I got there most of them were closing.

Hookedonpole, Bel and I went to the International Pole Masters Cup Competition last night.  Guess what I did?  I drove Jamilla to the competition because she was a judge and she was navigating!  I feel so honored 🙂

I'll try to update and post pics when I can.  I hope that gave you guys a taste of what's going down at pole con haha.

@ Stevesgirl Both my epilators are by Emjoi.  The bigger one for the legs is the gold caress that's purple. The smaller epilator is the epislim. It's white and fits perfectly in your hand.  I got both from Amazon.

@ Ewa isn't an epilator just the most amazing tool? hehe. I'm glad to hear that you and I had a similar journey.  Not a lot of people are open to talking about it.  Before I actually "went for it" I tried to do some researching online but no girls were posting about it. It was mainly on waxing.  So I just decided to give it a shot and it worked out well for me. I used to shave my legs in high school so I was done with the whole messiness, warming up etc so I knew I didn't want to experienment and wax down there. One thing I forgot to mention in the post is I also find the epilator really saves me time. It only takes me 10-15 min max to take everything off my lady parts in one session.

I use to shave but got tired of the fast regrowth. I've never had a full on brazilian before out of fear of pain and because I felt uncomfortable with a stranger looking at my lady parts. I ended up doing something totally crazy. I bought an epilator which I used for my legs and loved the results. One day I got brave and decided to epilate only the bikini line. It hurt I'm not gonna lie. I loved the smooth results and the hair grew back a lot finer. Well after awhile I got even more brave and ended up epilating everything off!! I do it after a shower so the hair and skin is soft. For the first few times I had to do it in multiple sessions because of the pain but the results were worth it.  Now I can epilate everything in one session. I have two epilators. One for the legs (to do the bigger jobs) and the other for the sensitive areas. I always disinfect and clean them daily. I use the bigger epilator for the top part of you know what and you kinda get used to the pain so I can seriously just run the epilator on that part as if I was epilating my legs!!  I then use the smaller one for the sides. The smaller one has less tweezers so it doesn't hurt as much. I use No Bumps right after to prevent ingrown hairs from Sally Beauty Supply. This whole time I've only had 1 ingrown hair down there. I love the results and the fact that the hair grows back slower and finer. I wish I discovered it sooner.  I swear some of the pole moves are more painful.  Give epilating a shot if you are curious. It's a one time cost to purchase the gadget and mess free!!! I hope this helps and sorry it was so long.

I have the same pink crash mat from yoga direct. My bf bought it for me from Amazon. I've had it for almost a year and it's still in really good condition.  Pretty much looks new even though I use it every time I practice. Some people complain about it ripping and tearing at the seams but I honestly don't have any problems with mine.  Another Veener friend of mine has the same one and she got a little bit before me and her mat is still holding up well.  I think it's a really good investment and has saved me many times.  Go get it!

Wow what a great discussion! I have a hard time with floor work (no dance background either) and I feel so stiff and unsexy ugh! There's a lot of good advice on here (thanks for sharing everyone) so I'm definitely gonna try to incorporate that from hereon out. I actually feel more comfortable when the camera is not recording. I feel with the camera I'm on the spot and it's catching every move and mistake I make.  It makes me feel more self conscious.  It's like I know in the back of my mind the camera is rolling so I can't really "let myself go and get lost with the moment and music" like I can when it's off.  Less pressure when it's off.  But then when you don't record yourself, you can't see what you look like and what you are doing etc. Does anyone else feel that way?

  • Hey CalBear, I'm one of the other gals that hooked is talking about.  The more the merrier! I'm from Morgan Hill.  If you want you can meet up at my place and we can drive down together to pick up Hooked.  Message me or hooked if you are interested.  We are planning to meet soon to work out the details.

I shop at Lululemon for tops.  I also shop at Bad Kitty, Etsy and Snaz75.com

I also buy stuff sometimes from my local pole studio.  I hope that helps.

I’ll be there! Maybe all Veeners should meet up a certain day and dress in a certain color or something so we can spot fellow veeners. Veener pole jam?

She's an instructor at one of two studios.  BeSpun in LA or OC Pole Fitness (affliated with Felix Cane) I just can't remember which studio.  I know it's one of those two in Southern California.  I've been looking into studios in that area recently because I might be moving there and I remember seeing her name on the instructor list on the studio website.  I hope that helps horsecrazy.
