bad kitty would have been my FIRST brand choice, but these aren’t nearly long enough D: I’ll check out the others! thanks SO much for all the suggestions! I really like the length! and I have NO idea why it didn’t occur to me to just cut/sew stirrups into a part >.< ...I'm gonna have a new polewear addiction

where is Melbourne, Vic? I think I must be reading this incorrectly. Also, how much are you asking? and how much use have they seen?

DONE! I’m sold. I’m building these or having some installed. End of story.

At the risk of sounding naive, what are stall bars used for aside from maybe over split training? I’ve seen them in photos but never understood their use for gymnastics or pole.

  • I’ve had this problem virtually every time and I just wiggle it until it miraculously comes apart. I haven’t found a real solution, but I hope someone here can provide something more concrete!

No, I was under the impression you had to have a lesson membership to access them. I’m paying 3 hospital bills right now so even the $30 for this is pushing it but I’ve GOT to do something bc I’m having little to no success on my own.

I called x-pole recently about this. They’re in the process of having them shipped and cleared through US customs to be able to sell them in the States. About 2-3 wks ago they said it would be roughly 3-6wks before they expect them in the US so it should be any time now!

I haven’t heard of the other website honestly but I’m definitely going to check it out. I’m fairly loyal to x-pole so I may wait, especially if there is a large price difference

Art if the Catwalk closed a few years ago but Queen of Hearts is incredible. I am a member there and couldn’t love it more 🙂 it’s literally my home away from home and they offer a LOT more than just pole too!

  • Funny you mention that. I have had pain in my forearm about halfway down, on the outside of the arm between the muscles/near the bone as well as excessive tightness after poling. My teacher said it was probably over use and I should take it easy and ice it regularly but it’s only starting to subside and it’s been nearly 3 months. I don’t want this to become chronic but I also don’t want to stop entirely either. I’m glad you mentioned this! Maybe someone will have some answers for us!

I can give it a shot? I’m coming from a cross-ankle release. not sure if I can get myself bent around enough to get a grip under my arm – that sounds like some serious back flexibility (working on it, though!). And the pic isn’t me, just a clear representation of what pose I’m in to assist those trying to help! 😛

Also I won’t be wearing pole shoes >.< and will likely not be close enough to reach with my lower foot to brace myself on the floor.

Could someone post a link to the original post to which you’re referring? I need to build one for height outside and would love some good quality instructions! Also what is everyone talking about putting “finish” on the pole? Does this get costly? Is it a DIY process or something you have to hire out for?
