It's so tough to get over all the things you don't think are "perfect" about yourself, if only there was an easier way! For me, it just took time and POLE! Realizing that you appreciate your body for what it can do and what it allows you to do makes being upset over not being a "size XYZ" silly…
It's a journey for all, some harder and longer than others, but definately sad when unnecessary pressure is added.

I pulled something, but I don't quite know what! I'm fine with normal activity, but if I sit on a hard surface I can feel it, and stretching seems to make it tighter. It's in my glut/hamstring area. I've been foam rolling the heck out of it, gotten a massage and have another scheduled.
When it happened, I was in a front left split and leaning forward over my left leg. I can only describe the feeling as something "let go". I mentioned this to Alethea in a class I had with her recently, and she said to stretch and massage the heck out of it with a tennis ball! I know she knows what she's talking about, and it makes sense to do this, I just wish it would heal already! I swear I would have had my split by now if it wasn't for this! And I don't want to push it and further aggravate it. Sigh. 🙁

I'm sorry you are feeling down! I think this happens to all of us at some point. I have been fortunate that most people I know are accepting, or at least tolerant. When I do encounter someone who has their own issue with pole dancing, I remind myself that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and frankly, I feel sorry for them because they can never understand or share in the sheer joy I find in pole dancing.

I went…and I had a great time! Charley did an absolutely amazing job : )

I'll be there! Can't wait!! : )

Argh! I was just searching for (and found) a shirt that said "Pole Star" last week! I'll definately check out your collection, can never have too much pole attire!!

I understand how you feel! I hacked off my bangs a couple weeks ago. I was ticked I couldn't get them to behave, and (even though I know better) I cut them. I looked STUPID for about a week, they are just now getting long enough that I don't look like Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Hope that at least amuses you ; )

I've been nursing a miniscus tear for almost 4 months : ( I've been walking to keep it moving and hold off the lbs, but mostly I've focused on flexibility. Other than that, anything that I can do within my range of motion and comfort level. It's frustrating for sure…hang in there!

You make a good point Nilla, these issues should be raised and the support available from Eve's Angels is good information to get out there for those who may need it.
I think my reaction was based on starting the story off with "some people wonder if being a stripper may have been the reason for their disappearance". So could the fact that they are from Detroit…things just seem to be getting so out of hand in the city : ( In any case, they are still missing, and speculating about why it happened isn't of much value. I would have preferred they did a story about the dangers of stripping, and did a separate report about these women and the facts surrounding their cases. Lumping them together is what rubbed me the wrong way, not the content of the story, per say.

I appreciate your input, and I agree! Here's a link to the story:

I noticed while looking for this link that Fox talked about Rima Fakih, former Miss USA who attended Stripper 101 which is hosted by a local radio station every year. I also won a chance to attend (hoping that isn't held against me one day the way it was for Rima), and that's when I really started looking at pole as something I wanted to try. The first time I touched a pole was in that strip club, and Shadow was coaching me!

She's truly amazing! I guess it's just the skew that main stream media puts on it. As far as pole goes, I know they have no clue what it takes! Sick of it!

Wasn't finished! Sorry! To conclude, I meant to judge anyone, for whatever! To each their own!

And he comments about Madonna AFTER you!

Awesome! The last one was so much fun, I'll be attending this one for sure : )

Definately buy a size up, I'm so glad I did! I have six pair of Pleaser heels and they fit perfect, but the boots would have been too small! Even with sizing up, if the leather is cold they are tricky to get on. I just purchased the Pleaser Fascinate 2018, and they have a stretchy part at the top, but there is definately a limit to how much they will stretch!
I can't comment about scratching, I like my pole and my boots to much to chance any damage! The buckles on these are awesome though, if you do buy please come back and share your review!
