    I am still curious as to why no one is mentioning the fact that there were so many entries past the deadline? Everyone had months to submit. People want professionally run events, yet they cant follow simple rules and submit before the deadline? This is not a rinky dink competition held at a strip club. It is a serious competition that JENYNE BUTTERFLY, ALETHEA AUSTIN,  & NATASHA WANG have won!

    Again, all this drama wouldnt be happening if people had respected the rules of the USPDF submission process. People can blame USPDF all they want, but its the unprofessionalism of the applicants that caused this mess.

    ***My opinion has nothing to do with the worthiness of the applicants. It merely has to do with respect and professionalism. Sorry if it sounds harsh.

    People are being so hypocritcial. They are crying about fairness, well, why did so many submit past the deadline? They arent respecting the rules, or other entrants.

    If the pole community wants fair competitions, they need to be respectful of the deadlines as well, and not put the organizers in this situation. If the entrants respected the deadline, there would be no issue right now.

    I am wondering why soooo many people submitted past the deadline? Do they not respect the rules or fellow entrants? Everyone needs to take responsibility for their actions. Uspdf should stick to their guns and make no exceptions, and the polers should respect the deadline. Everyone had months to submit. Why people wait till the very last second is strange to me…both parties are wrong!!

    I never do twisted from the floor. I was learning it for a while, and kept aggravating my shoulder, so i stopped. A lot of the new moves people are coming up with are not attractive, they are just super hard. If you arent going to be competing in a super serious competition, its sooo not worth it. These injuries can affect you for life! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

    I prefer the 45mm. I have tried out Platinum Stages new 38mm pole, and it felt soooo small. I felt like i had to grip so much harder, and my fingers were overlapping around the pole.

    I recently started drinking hemp protein which is easy to digest and tastes pretty good. I mix it with rice milk, spinach, kale, chia seeds, berries, wheat grass powder and sometimes a banana if I really need the sugar. It has been giving me a lot of energy!

    I have both sets, and Jamilla's are probably better for your first set. Felix's seem like they are meant for a more experienced beginner, looking to clean up their moves.

    When i teach multi level classes, everyone will work on a spin for example, but at their level. So if it is a brand new student, maybe a fireman. Intermediate-body spiral. Advanced- one handed spin. Same thing with climbs. Everyone will work on a climb, but a climb that is suited to their level.

    I actually learned the shoulder mount coming DOWN the pole, from a crucifix. I really liked this method because i was able to learn what it feels like to balance in this position in a V/straddle, and it hurt way less!

    I know that if your stretch marks are red in color, u can help that with a laser, or different creams to fade them. If they are already white, there is nothing you can do. Ive asked a couple dermatologists about this. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

    @chemgoddess

    Ok yes i know what you are referring to. The building has really nice molding on the ceilings, and they didnt want me to drill holes in it, so that is why i originally got xpoles. It was in my lease not to damage the ceiling. However, once i made them aware of the situation, they graciously allowed me to drill the permanent poles in.

    Platinum stages didnt make any special mounts for me. I did it myself.

    @chemgoddess

    The xpole dome fit inside of the square molding. It wasnt placed on the molding. The ceiling and floor are concrete. Im not sure where your comment about Platinum stages making me a special mount came from. I had wood cut into blocks at LOWES, and then bolted into the ceiling, because the permanent poles would not fit past the molding. They are bolted to the floor and ceiling, so there was no way to shimmy it thru. They are pretty much an exact fit. The ceilings were too high to have the semi permanent pole, which just attaches to the ceiling. I would have been able to shimmy that type into place by the bottom, and not use any wood blocks. **Also, i had sent pictures of my ceiling to xpole before i even signed my lease to make sure it was ok, and they said yes.

    @sensual- My ceilings are 12'2.

    Yes the brass poles do have blemishes. They dont come PERFECT like the stainless steel, but it hasnt been a problem.

    My favorite pole is my platinum stages brass. I love it because i dont have to use grip aids. I have never ripped any skin though, but like mentioned above, everyone is different and will have a different reaction.

    I really want a 45 mm brass from platinum stages. I have a 50mm that i love, so i think i would be even more in love with the 45mm. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif I just bought my 45mm stainless steel SSA a few weeks ago though, so i might have to hold off, lol

    @empry- Many other people in this thread are talking about their love for their X-poles at home. Please tell them its irrelevant as well.

    And yes, if you are upside down on the pole, and the joint decides to slip down, what will happen? Ive seen people post about joints slipping at their studios and at home, so it can happen on the stage pole too.

    I dont know what people really want out of a stage pole. If its too heavy, people complain. If its too light, people complain. It wobbles, it makes noise, they dont go high enough etc etc. Its a STAGE pole. You arent supposed to be going nuts on it. I would be cautious with any stage pole, no matter what brand. I dont think stage poles are the place to practice your craziest tricks. Its not connected to anything on top, so obviously there can be issues.

    I tested out my SSA after reading so many bad posts about it. I ran at it from across the room, jumped on it, and tried to make it tip over. The pieces popped up, but that was all. I feel safe on it. The video is on my profile and youtube.

    I really like my new SSA, WITH the extension. I love that i was able to mix the pieces and make it Black & Pink. I made this video recently on it.  http://youtu.be/KAndUdCTmto

    I wish Veenas video would have had the extension on the SSA. I also wish she would have pointed out all the errors that come along with the X-joint as well. No matter how stable that base is, if the joint slips, you're screwed. It can always be blamed on "user error" but if THAT many people are doing it wrong , maybe it should be redesigned.

    I support Platinum Stages because they helped me out when X-poles failed my studio. I prefer the ss and brass finishes as well.

    I would love to know what everyone suggests for studios with ceilings above 12ft? Some of the best studios, BeSpun, Body & Pole use Platinum Stages. They arent junk.

    I am glad that i had the option to get Platinum Stages poles for my studio. I am happy that they can supply studios above 12 ft. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
