The Midwest Pole Dancing, Inc. website has a nice list of studios.

Thank you for the truthful, unbiased, side by side comparison. I have gone around and around on which poles to buy. I am still planning on PS permanent poles for my studio, but was considering also purchasing a stage portable and would definitely go with the X-Pole for that.
I do have an X-pole X-pert at home and LOVE it! But, I have trained on both X-pole and PS at studios and have found I prefer the PS there. I don't have any experience with the stages, so this was really helpful for me.

How many of you own, attend or have attended a studio which uses crash mats?
The main studio I attended did not have any crash mats. I did attend a class at a studio that utilized a crash mat when teaching a new inverted move. The overall feeling of that class was much more professional than it would have been sans crash mat.
How many of you wish or think studios SHOULD use them if they don't?
I think all studios should use them. As was mentioned previously, they should not take anything away from spotting, they should be an additional safety measure. In my opinion, their use should be required on a move until both student and instructor feel that the move has been mastered.
How many of you use a crash mat or would prefer to have one to use at home?
I bought one for my home for safety since I was poling alone and wouldn't have anyone to call for help for me if I were to fall. It is my "buddy sytem" lol.

And, please let us know if there is any new information or recomendations for installation in those higher ceilings. I have already consulted a contractor, but don't have a final plan yet.

I actually want to have at least one of the smaller poles for myself, and was thinking that it would be a bigger problem if I had only 1 of them. And yes, very true about the cusomer base. Hmmm decisions decisions….

No processed foods and lots of cardio!!!
A calorie counter helps, you don't have to keep using it, but it makes you realize what you're eating. Log a few days in at least and see what you discover. http://www.everydayhealth.com is the one I use.
A tummy tuck is MAJOR surgery. It took me over a year to recover. Absolutely NO ab work for at least 6 months! Which means, no pole…and you have to learn everything over again when you do start training becuase your muscles are all in a different place than they were before. However, after 25 years of not being able to wear a bikini, even when I was 92 pounds (I am also 5 ft tall), because of stretch marks and a pooch, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I should also metion that I gained 10% of my body weight in the 9 months following my tummy tuck due to lack of the ability to exercise as I normally do. I am still fighting to lose it. It has been 14 months since I had it now. However, I do have rock hard washboards abs now!
I have a friend who had lipo and says she wishes she hadn't done it. She also had a tummy tuck, and does not regret that part.
