So why do you think Felix and the pro’s now have certs when they didn’t before? Maybe to make our sport legitimate, an hold some standards, and show that yes experience and training mean you have skill in pole, safety, the body, etc. if they didn’t feel nesseccary, then why bother???

Also how are we going to break stigmas and get recognition for our sport if you are not held to some kind of standard? -
I never said it was the end all be all, I said it was important. I know how to swim but I’d never claim to be a life guard. I can do math, but I couldn’t teach high school students algebra.
The point was to inform students that anyone can teach pole, but not everyone does it right or safely. Chances are if the instructors are certified that they hold a serious desire and drive for pole and its education.
I never said if they don’t they’re not good. But why take a chance? -

I'd love to have any woman who is looking for a safe, comfortable, and DRAMA FREE environment at my studio. I take pride in the fact that I keep my studio kind, honest, and real. Because lets face it, we are there to exercise, and make friends, not add extra grief to our lives.
I was certified by Susan Hilferty at Pole Fitness Miami, and continue taking classes and getting more certifications because you can never know everything, education is key.
It is unfortunate that such an awesome sport and skill has fallen victim to some studios that mistreat their students and instructors. From stolen classes and workshops, to treating students like cash not goddesses. You will find none of that in my studio.
