I’ve had my 40 for almost a year and its still slippery. Chrome works best in warmer weather I found.I’m considering getting it coated in hopes it makes it a bit more grippy. Let me know if you find any remedies!

get yourself an aloe plant. when ever i get pole burns, i just cut a piece off and rub the juices on to the skin. it relieves the stinging pain imediately.

I’m on the same boat so I feel you ladies. I think skyping is key for us self taught, no studio folks. So with that being said….add me on Skype lol Jojodanza

What size is your pole? I find doing geminis, and pretty much any leg gripping move, more painful on my skinny 40mm. Your not alone.

    Thanks for the tips amy!

Bought a 40mm cause of my tiny hands. If xpole had a 38 I would of gotten that instead.

I'm 5'2 with small hands and loves spin mode, so that was the selling point for me. I just have better grip on my 40mm….i don't go flying off lol. I went from a 50mm to a 40 and the first practice I had on my 40mm I achieved  things I couldn't imagine of doing so soon.

I agree with Sensual. Since you already have the 45mm and 50mm you should go ahead and get a 40mm if anything. I have the 40mm chrome and I can only imagine how great a 38mm would be. Only had my 40mm for 2.5 months and im already doing tg handsprings- im sure if i had anything bigger i wouldnt be excelling as fast.

I have an aloe plant so whenever i'm burning I slice a piece off and rub it on. Works instantly.

    lol@tiggertail and @shasha

same happens to me on my youtube channel and all im doing is showing people how i shave designs on my hair! heres one of the comments i got the other day:

"i thought about doing it so i asked my husband how he would fell about me shaving the side of my head and he said i love the way you look with your long hair those kind of hair styles are for dics."

like really? this person took the time out their day to intentionally hurt me! thats so disturbing! i was so HEATED….now the comment didnt hurt me, cause i can really care less what they think, its just the fact that they went out their way to be hurtful and one can only imagin how people who are more sensative than others would feel when they see comments like that. especially when all they are trying to do is be expressive, helpful, informative and positive.

i always say "hate is the fuel to my success"

    screw 'em!

I just posted a video of my son DANCING and fb removed it. load of crap sometimes. I just put it right back up! if facebook didnt email you letting you know the reason for taking down the video then maybe it was a glitch…probably best if you just upload it to youtube.

I was messing with wax one day (like hair removal wax) and while I was putting the wax away  I made a mess and got some on my hands. While i was trying to rub it off i was like "hmmm sticky" lol so i spun around a couple of times…superrrr gripy. like if you were on static forget about any sliding at all. So I then tried to clean right after (cause i didnt know the effect the wax will have on the pole) i used acetone and it got even stickier!! had to use more acetone and windex to clean it completely off. Dont know if its safe for the poles but it happened so i thought i would share

Even if you don’t have cable it’s available. It’s pretty cool its being recognized as a sport (which is what the first part of the show was about)

why dont you say your into aerial acrobatics/silk?

    you can do 2 things

    1. wait until he falls in love with you and then tell him (lol)

    2. or just tell him by like the 4th date maybe, (whenever you feel you got a good  sense of his personality and vice versa) and just tell him your into pole fitness.

i cant imagine being in situation like this…im a "i dont care what anyone thinks" type chick and i tell the world because theres nothing wrong with what we do.

    good luck!
