My hubby just ordered my 45mm brass pole from platinum stages for me for my birthday & our anniversary gift 😀 I went with the regular one instead of the competition one, after I talked to PS they made me feel better about getting that one & no real need to get the competition one 🙂 yay!

I am self taught 😀 except for 2 workshops with Alethea Austin that I attended after poling for 2 years.

MemberApril 4, 2013 at 6:53 am in reply to: Platinum Stages Permanent spinning VS Competition spinning pole?… I can’t edit the last thing I said on my phone but I want a 45mm brass 10 foot & pole danzer doesn’t make one like that. The do make a 45 in stainless but stainless is too slick for me in most days. I have used brass in a few occasions & loved it!

MemberApril 4, 2013 at 6:39 am in reply to: Platinum Stages Permanent spinning VS Competition spinning pole? Was the 10ft platinum stages pole a 45mm? & did it feel like it had a lot of give? I want a 45mm since I like that best, I just looked at pole danzer & they don’t have a 45mm 🙁
My hubby said he would get me the competition version of the platinum stages pole if I feel like I need that to be safe BUT with shipping & all it’s gonna be like $630 & I really don’t want to spend that much if I can just get the normal one for $440. I believe it would be safe since they sell them up to 14feet in a brass 45mm spinner but idk & I’ve never used that brand.
I would buy the same brand I have used the past 4 years& have 2 of (hardcore pole / pole Waxers) but for some reason she won’t sell to me anymore… Really not sure what’s up with that. The hard core poles are super solid & I can’t imagine anything being more “solid feeling” or spinning any smoother/faster.

I broke my middle toe the first time I tried to dismount from a Gemini & I have hurt my rib a few times from jade… Thank god that’s the worst of it for me 🙂

MemberApril 3, 2013 at 8:29 pm in reply to: Platinum Stages Permanent spinning VS Competition spinning pole?I have a 10 foot ceiling for my pole room 🙂 I called platinum & asked them what would be best & they said the 45mm @ 10 feet tall could have a little “give”… I noticed on their site they sell a 45mm that is 12 feet tall & it isn’t the competition grade… I’m still confused! Lol.
All I know is I want a spin/static 45mm in brass that mounts permanent & is one solid piece.I would love to hear from someone who has a 10ft platinum stages 45mm permanent pole 🙂

I have a temporary pole right now in a room with a low ceiling (only 8feet) & I hate it! It’s way too low for me. I had a 9ft ceiling in my old pole room at my old house & it was nice but I still wanted a taller space… Now I have a room with a 10 foot ceiling but no pole to go there just yet so I’m stuck with a 8 foot for now. The taller the better!!!

I’m an idiot 😀 lol. I called them to double check & yeah it’s metal. The black color threw me off.
