When I want a specific length cut I buy from holidayleds.com. They cut in 3feet increments on some colors and I like the quality of their rope lights the best. They are more expensive though.
I have also bought from Amazon.com and Lowes.
Amy, Chem and Ronia have good suggestions too! You can always call the store before you go to see if they will have what you are looking for.

I am excited about the channel lock on order!
I do not like the feel of the adjuster cover so I did the top loading and like it much better that way. Hope you get that help soon so you can check it out and see if you like it.
I got really chicken when it came to drilling into the joist so the ceiling mount isn't up yet. I'm thinking I'll be asking for help from my super handy friend this week.

Thanks Chem for your reply. There is a small hole where you could thread a tiny tool through at the top but it does nothing for the functioning of the pole. I need to buy a wrentch big enough if this happens again and I can't tighten it for some reason.
Thanks Lyme Lyte and Sensualscimitar also for you replies. I figure posting is good for someone else that might do what I did and need to know.

I called Platinum Stages and they helped me. Here is what you do for anyone else that experiences this…
Tighten the pole more. It is counterintuitive but that will cause the hex nuts to lift slightly away from the pole. Then they are easy to move by hand to move.
Got my pole down.

Pleasers are my favorite shoe and they make your size. I wear an 8.5 in street shoes but for the open toe dance shoes I size down to an 8. The vamp will eventually stretch and a sized down shoe allows me to get more wear and not fall out of it when that happens. If it is a closed toe shoe (boot) I size up to 9.
Some dancers prefer to size up regardless. These shoes can be a bit tricky to get a feel for what works well. Each brand wears a bit differently so you will likely find a favorite. In addition there is heel height, strap, vamp design etc etc… all different considerations you will build preferences for. However… once you know, you got it!
I was thrilled when I found Pleaser on Amazon after I got the sizing figured out (buyer pays return shipping). I also enjoy shopping from Snaz75.com but you also pay return shipping. Snaz has an amazing selection and they offer facebook coupon codes sometimes.

Pole finish is very different for each person. The order of finishes that I prefer are Stainless Steel, Brass then Chrome. I discovered this by dancing on each finish.
I would definitely invest in the rotator (spinning) option if I was bying a LM. This way you can easily experience spin and static options with one pole investment.
I have not used a LM pole but many forum members here seem happy with theirs.

Commiting to pole was my favorite pole accomplishment for 2011!
I have invested in a space to pole at home and that is an investment in me. Making something a priority that improves my health and also is a creative outlet is a huge milestone for me.
I am very proud of that accomplishment, making the space and time to do something I love.

I have fond nicknames like 'powder', 'ghost' and even my dermatologist laughs and says I am 'white as the fallen snow'. When I go makeup shopping my girlfriends say I should skip Sephora and go to the morgue for foundations or powder. Clever.
When I was younger I felt resentful and like an ugly duckling because everyone around me was tan or had a darker pigment. I wasn't comfortable in my skin.
I am now I LOVE my natural pigment. It is how I was made and I don't want to change it!
Please consider your health and safety and continue researching. I would suggest you avoid these tanning options and embrace your natural pigment. Our skin is beautiful regardless of how light or dark it is and we are beautiful regardless of our pigment.

I'd suggest that you remove the CAR and any inverted moves from your routine until you are confident on a 45mm. Its a real bad idea IMO to invert on a diameter you are not familiar with. While performing you want to be confident… not uncertain of the move. Your safety and well being above all is the most important.
Normally hand grips are easier on smaller diameters and leg/thigh grips are harder until one adjusts.

Thank you for your reply and suggestions on some pointers for this arm position. In all honesty I am still adjusting to the push/pull mechanics. It is getting more comfortable with practice. I will work on carousel spin to gain some muscle memory and strength.

I want to use split grip for thigh rest. Once I am comfortable with thigh rest and split grip I would like to move into spit grip spins. Thank you for the lesson link and also the conditioning suggestions. I will get busy on my climbs and other conditioning exercises. I love the shoulder conditioning lessons by the way!

My favorite dance heels are Pleasers. I wear 8.5 in street shoes. In Pleasers I get 8 for open toe shoes and 9 for closed toe shoes. I size down for open toe shoes so when the vamp stretches out I can still wear them. I also like how their shoes are balanced and feel the heels are stable. I prefer shoes with straps… mules can fall (or fly) off and that's something I don't want to worry about.
Google lingerie/adult shops in your area and call first to see if they carry shoes or look on their website. If you shop online, find a retailer that would accept the shoe as a return if it did not fit.
You will find what works best for you but it can take a bit of trial and error. Especially for those of us that are half sizes. I buy a lot of my shoes from snaz75.com… they have a lot of facebook promos like 30% off entire order etc.
