Yeah I think that's not nearly enough calories! I take in 1600 calories a day.

Give us an example of what you eat on a daily basis… Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks. Abs/flat tummy are ALL diet! 100%… 😉

It could be you nervous system not allowing muscles to fire and contract when they are suppose to. That was my issue, Rolfing helped it BIG time. So when the proper muscles aren't firing  and contracting when they are suppose to, other areas try to make up for the slack…. leading to all kind of issues, especially if your asking your body to do it often/repeatedly…like we polers do!

I'm a Rolfing ADDICT! Plain and simple….it's THAT magical! They unlock your body, well…if you go to a good one.

You need to find a skilled Rolfer, so do your research. They usually recommend 10 sessions in order to bring your body back in to balance, then after that it's just maintenance, although I go more often just because my goals are different that most of his other clients. It can be expensive, but worth every last penny in my opinion! Best investment I've made in my body since I started poling. I wish I would have know about it 2yrs ago

I'd say about a year. I was building strength that whole time as well. If I had hit the pole with some strength already under my belt I'm sure it would have happened faster, but I was a weakling. Like…could barely pick up a gallon of milk kind of weak!? Now…..I carry allll the groceries on one arm to save myself a trip. Because…aint nobody got time for multiple trips to the car to unload groceries https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

    I went from a size 8/10 to a 2 ( total of 30 lbs) doing nothing but pole!  3-4 hours a week

Luvlee, I had those same pains in my straddle stretches( along with several others). What cured it? Rolfing!  So basically it came down to my nervous system. I don't care how much you stretch…if your  nervous system isn't allowing your muscles to fire and contract when/how they are suppose to….NOTHING is going to change. What happens is other parts start to make up for the failure of those muscles and that's how damage and injures can happen. Fyi, Alethea Austin is a big fan of Rolfing….and she's a flexy thang!  I've mentioned it on here before, but Rolfing really is magical. I call my Rolfer a little magician with all the keys to unlock me! lol

I have learned, that at these convention type situations…when I take workshops, I bring my own bottle of alcohol and rag. Some places supply it, others do not, some don't provide enough…. and you end up wasting time trying to track down a bottle to clean off the pole, or end up stuck with a slick pole because whoever was on it before was wearing lotion( what crazy poler does that!? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ). So I just assume bring my own and make sure I have a clean pole to work on. 🙂

I've taken to Rolfing, and it has completely fixed that( and tons more) issue I was having. Turns out my right shoulder was rotated inwards and downwards… putting unnecessary strain on those muscles. After one session it went and has stayed away….I'm going on 2mo. This therapy/technique is just magical… I really have no words other than it is THE answer to chronic pain and improper muscle functions!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    I have 4…

    1. What's

    2. Not

    3. To

    4. Love!

I'm not vain or conceited, I swear, but I do finally know and understand what it means to love yourself inside and out! Thank you, POLE, for doing that for me, my husband and childhttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif

That was exactly my thinking, MissSKR. I've done assisted stretching, but it's hard to find someone good to do it with regularly. Plus….you're still at their mercy…one slight over reaction on their behalf and you are injured.  And trying to do it on my own….has not worked, and not for a lack of discipline!  I feel like I'd be able to relax more knowing I'm in full control of the pressure.  Thanks Everyone https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I'm a busty gal, so it took me a while to figure out how to not get my boobs in the way of this trick.  So if you have bigger boobs,  I found it was easier to wait and flex my pecs/biceps til the pole was in place… because if you flex those first…it makes it harder to get the pole in just the right spot. Does that make sense? AND if my top had too much coverage up near the armpit I found I couldnt do it as well either. But I have it down great now…. once I figured out those few things!

I personally think woman should still be soft and curvy. I'm a pretty thin girl and could lose all my softness quiclky if I'm not careful. I like to have a little wiggle in my hips/butt/thighs…but at the same time…i like to bust out my guns https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

My concern with the tooth paste is…it's a gritty substance( a super fine grit, but still a grit)…and over time it could compromise the finish on your poles…https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif

I started working on it about 2wks ago…off and on, and Just this past Tuesday I was able to let my one hand go for 2 seconds. Thats a big deal in my book! So Just keeeeeep at it and it will click. You just have to program it into your muscle memory,  then each time it gets a bit easier and before too long you'll just nail it! Thats it works for me anyways
