Ah yes, the classics. I constantly have to reassure people I'm not a stripper.

Doctor

"So, what kind of dance do you do?"

"Well, Swing, blues, salsa, pole mainly."

He looks at me and just sort of gives me that awkward stare…

"No, no, I'm not a stripper."

"Well…that's not exactly what I was thinking…"

(I still have no idea what he was exactly thinking)

Brother

Buys me a pair of yoga pants for my birthday so that I don't have to exercise in my underwear. Lets just say I had no idea how few people realize that skin is actually needed to pole.

 

A friend of mine told me a story about a girl we both knew who used to pole a bit. Apparently she fell and hurt herself while practicing. At the doctor's he asked her how she hurt herself. You have all been so much help and thank you for the information Shanyn. I have such a better idea now of what I should be focusing on. I was watching the amateur entries. Tara Meyer…I have nothing against her =S I agree with you Mimi, I would enter that div too. Lol.

As far as it seems though, my fiance isn't too keen on me entering this year as it will only be a month or two after our wedding https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif which I do understand as I've been stressed out because of all the stuff he's been wanting to do too. Lol. Hopefully it will be in Van next year again as I live in Kelowna so Toronto is a bit of a financial investment for me.

I should probably do a seach on that =) Honestly, I have no idea, that's part of the problem. The website they have isn't very good. But if it;s like this year then the competition would be in September. I doubt they move it around very much.
